Talking Hi, from Austin

Hi everyone! I'm in my mid-twenties and have been bouncing around between 100 and 175 lbs for about 7 years. My ideal weight is between 110 and 120 lbs. I think I need some sort of structure in my eating habits, so I joined WW - the first diet I've been on with rules that I haven't made up myself.

I want to be a professional writer, but I currently work for a local film production company. I draw with coloured inks. I'm a gourmand, like my father was, and I would love to try out a life as a food critic or a Cordon Bleu chef. I grew up in the U.K., in London, but I'm currently living near my mum's family in Texas.

I love being a member of tight-knit communities but this is only the second weight-loss forum I've ever joined, and I think only the fourth forum. (I'm a bit skittish and tend not to register in forums, no matter how addicted I am.) I'm looking for buddies.

Hi Nenu!
You sound like a very talented and interesting person - you'll fit right in - no need to feel skittish!

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained!

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a short time myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!
