Default I bought pants. It was weird.

Yesterday I finally caved in and bought new jeans and a pair of shorts. It's almost summer here and all the shorts I brought from home are far too big, and my jeans are almost clownish on me. It took all of the mental energy I had, but I got myself all riled up and marched into one of the stores here and bought new pants.

I have NO idea what size these pants are. They say 18, but the pants I was wearing to the store were also an 18. So who knows. It was hard enough to work up the nerve to sit in a change room trying things on! I also bought a belt - not a men's XL belt, but a ladies' L. It was so weird!

It'll be really interesting when I get back home to try on clothes there. I have no idea what to expect size wise...

But for now, I'm really proud of myself!

Buying pants is the hardest! I can deal with tops, but pants..ugh...

Congrats and finding a good pair I hate dressing rooms that don't have a mirror on the inside, so you have to step out to see how you look. I refuse to shop in places like that.

I bought pants today, too. Well, truthfully, I bought a pajama set. It's getting into winter and eventually, I'm going to have to stop traipsing around in shorts when I'm getting ready for bed. It'll be too cold. But pajama pants are different. Meh. I did make the decision to go a size down from what I normally would have worn. But I did it because, I can fit into the large, though it is a little snug. But I don't want to have to turn around in a few months and have to buy another set of pajamas just because the original pants are way too big. But that's the beauty of pajamas, nobody sees you in them but you.

Ugh, buying pants is so hard! Congrats on getting a new pair!

I hate that sizes vary so much from brand to brand. I wish they could all get together and standardize sizing.

The big problem for me was that I think they use UK sizing here. But I'm not sure! I hope so - that would certainly make me feel good!!

Congrats to all the other chicks out there that have gotten out there and bought pants lately! I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets freaked out about it!

Yes, women's pant sizes are aggravating!!

Tell me why my DH can walk into any store, buy the exact same size pants (no matter the brand) and not try them on? They always fit!!

Not a chance of that happening for us ladies...ugh!

Congrats on your pants
