Default I'm a like a shiny new penny

Hey there chickies,

I've just registered on the forums here, and I'd posted a few responses in other threads, and then thought that might be kind of creepy, since I hadn't introduced myself at all!

Basically, I have been checking out 3FC for the past couple months as I pursued my own weight-loss and exercise goals (lurking... also creepy! Sorry... I promise I'm not actually a creeper!). I finally decided to join, if only to tell you all how wonderfully inspirational it has been for me to follow your stories and learn from your advice.

I'm about half-way through my own journey, but I wanted to become more involved in this amazing community. You've all be doing such terrific things, and I have so much respect for all of you! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

Congrats on your weight loss so far, good job! I'm chasing you, but only by a few pounds But you've lost more than I have, so tons of kudos for that!

No worries my lovely vertically challenged friends - I'd love to trade you a bit of my height! It's hard finding a guy tall enough to date when you're my height!! lol!

That's what my cousin always says! She's 5'10" like me, and she doesn't want to date anyone shorter than her, so she says it makes it much more difficult. I can't say I have that problem myself, seeing as I'm into the ladies and rather fancy them shorter than me anyway, but I have heard that it can be quite challenging if you fancy a bloke who's a bit taller than you.

Okay... I just posted that after watching 3 straight hours of Doctor Who... it's obvious that too much British programming has affected my brain.... *slinks off*

Lol! My tall friends and I always complain about the lack of tall guys.

As for your British-isms, I had to laugh. I've been living in South Africa for almost a year, and I constantly catch myself using South African colloquialisms when talking to friends and family back home and it's so awkward. No one ever knows what I'm talking about!

But, yes, fancying tall okes is definitely a pain... if a guy isn't 6'1 or taller, I can't wear any of my cute shoes!! I just need to find some kind of 'big-and-tall' men's convention that I can accidentally wander into and find a mans!
