Default Wanting Advise Please

Hi All

Some of you might remember me from this time last year, some of you might not. But anyway I am 25 coming 26 - currently 9 stone 9.5. I have just started maintaining after loosing a few pounds using the Cambridge Diet.

I am now looking to shift the last few pounds, 15 or so before christmas. Currently I do no exercise except for work and I dont eat a huge huge amount.

Are there any diet/slimming pills that will work?

Is there any advise anyone can give me to help me achieve my goal?

Thanks

Hi There,
Firstly, I personally think slimming pills are really bad, and wouldn't recommend them, but some people are having success with Alli, and there are a good few posts about it.
Secondly, you are already around BMI 21 - do you really need to lose that weight, or do you just need to replace some of your current fat with muscle - ie tone up a little bit??

the last thing is that particularly as you are in a healthy weight range already, any fake stuff like pills etc is not going to work in the long run - if you are determined to be 119, i am pretty sure the only way you will achieve (and more importantly maintain it) it is by eating the calories to maintain yourself at 119 (trial and error) including lots of fresh fruit and veg and lean protein, and adding in some excercise!

I vote for skipping the pills. I know all too well how hard it is to lose the last few pounds. But pills are more likely to set you up for a weight gain rebound as they lose their effectiveness over time or if you go off them. It's so much better to learn how to eat and exercise to lose the weight naturally.

I also think you should consider the advice to focus on exercise and toning rather than losing the last few pounds. Getting tone can have a much bigger impact on your appearance than achieving a lower number on the scale -- which might well come at the expense of some muscle. If you are sure want to lose those pounds, you should still consider adding exercise. Exercise will rev up your metabolism to help move those last pounds and help maintain your muscle.
