Default Thinning calves area

Hey guys, I need help.

Since I last year I've gained 40 pounds. I've lost about 4-5 pounds so far and I kinda need help thinning my calves area. I've been running 30 minutes a day so far and I hardly see any results.

Reason I have to get thin calves is to fit this certain suit/costume which I'll show later once I get 25 posts..

I don't mind being a little bigger than it, but if my calves are too big it could stretch out the material.

Well, spot-reducing is impossible, unfortunately. You can make your calves look more toned, to a degree, with weight training, but you can't make yourself lose fat in the calf area specifically, except with overall fat loss. And unfortunately, with overall fat loss, you don't get to pick where it comes off from!

But if you keep going on your weight loss journey, you'll likely lose some from your calves (although if you're genetically prone to bigger calves, you may have to accept them to some degree. I've had to make peace with mine. They're muscular, sure, but they're not small by any means, unlike other parts).

Running will make your calves muscular I believe also, but if you are genetically predisposed to having lean calves they will get thinner once you lose overall fat...and the wonderful thing is that running, IMO, is the best fat burner ever...

I was having the same problem! I believe, since I'm so heavy, and since I am not genetically disposed to have large calves, that once I lose the weight things will change! I sure hope so, anyway.
