Default fiber plus bars are AMAZING!

ok so, ive been trying to get more fiber in my diet lately. i figured before i tried a supplement id give these a try. theyre called fiber plus bars and the variety i had was dark chocolate almond. it was REALLY good, like eating a candy bar, and they pack 9g of fiber in with only 120 calories each.

just thought id share!

They are yummy but go easy until you are sure you won't have problems. LOL..there has been talk here before about the problems of overindulging on the Fiber One bars! LOL

Those do sound good. But I couldn't keep them in the house. If it tastes like a candy bar, my brain will scream "Annie! Eat those candy bar things you got! All of them! Now!" until my will is sapped and the things are gone.

Too bad. Wheat bran crackers with homemade hummus tastes good enough and has plenty of fiber, but I wouldn't mind having a change of pace once in a while if I could be an adult about it.

You think there good. You should try fiber one oats and chocolate. Those things are better than snickers candy bars.

Oh, I love the Kellogg's Fiber Plus Bars!
I've had the Fiber One Brand, and I like the Kellogg's ones are better.

I love them all. We keep several varieties and brands at all times. They do taste like candy bars only with lots more fiber.

i hadn't tried them, so i just now looked up the ingredients - is anyone else bothered by the hydrogenated oils in them? looks like they've got palm, palm kernel, and coconut oil, all hydrogenated. technically they don't have to count them as transfats, but they fall under the general category of frankenfood. sigh...

just to be fair, i looked up the fiber one bars. no hydrogenated oils (partially or otherwise) but they seem a little heavy in HFCS and HMCS (maltose too.) again, sigh...love the inulin, waiting for more inulin products to come out but for now it looks like i'll have to stick with my fibergourmet cheese-its and pasta. which isn't that big of a tragedy, but it ain't chocolate, either. oh well!

I am definitely going to have to try these out for school. I need variety in what I bring to class and bars are definitely the most convenient and I tend to go with something with fiber or protein to help tide me over. These aren't too high in calories and have only small amounts of Soy Lecithin in them so my doctor says that is just fine for me.

Yes, I love them too! Oats and caramel, and mocha are good.

Super convenient for when I'm out and don't have access to a fridge.

I thought that I would overindulge on them because they are so delicious, but I'm too paranoid about what the fiber would do to my system if I had more than one, esp. since it's not the only source of fiber I get. Yicks!

The oats and caramel fiber one bars are indeed, life-changing. I don't understand how they get them to taste BETTER than candy bars?

Even eating one every other day gave me terrible, terrible gassy farts and worse. People kept saying that my body would become accustomed to them but it never happened and sadly I had to give the rest of the Costco-sized box to my son, who happily munched them down with no ill effects.
