Default TV Show- More to Love

Sorry, this isn't really about weight loss but about size and image.

Has anyone seen this show? I clicked on it the other night thinking it would be great (it's like the bachelor, but for bigger gals) and instead I find this horrible show dedicated to making fat women look pathetic. Almost each woman, many in their late twenties and early thirties, saying they will die a virgin, that Luke (said bachelor) will be their only hope of finding love because regular men won't date them.

Um ... I do not think I have ever been as insulted by a tv show as I have by this one.

Sorry to rant, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a chance to watch it?

Yes I agree!! Dear hubby and I tuned in to the last two of them and i have to say and hubby agrees that this show is pathetic!!!

Its all about these overweight women with VERY low self esteem and the show totally plays off them being fat. Notice everytime they are not on a date with Luke, they show them eating. They are trying to say all overweight ppl do is eat! They don`t do this on the real Bachelor show!!
Oh and the beginning of the show , how they have to show the bikini size 2`s and then the oveweight society....for the start of every show?!! we get the point!

There is one that stands out in the crowd, which is Lauren...she is the only one there that has a positive attitude!

I didn't even make it through the first episode - what happened to loving yourself first - taking care of the most important person. There are times I can be a reality TV junkie - not with this one.

I didn't like the concept from the start, I know plenty of women who are overweight and in great marriages or relationships!

I don't like those shows to begin with, so I haven't been watching. I don't fully get why shows like that are popular, like that one and the dancing ones...and I'm so not an Americal Idol fan if you can tell.

Saying that, I see a few clips from time to time and I sort of got the impression the women were either very degrading to themselves, or they were told to be. I mean I have NEVER been a thin woman. NEVER. I'm swarthy, like a sailor, always will be. I always had a boyfriend, ALWAYS lol. I had fellas around, so it surprises me that these women would be that desperate to go on TV to fight for some strange guy.

But maybe it isn't desperation, but money and fame...I dunno...I can't really judge as I avoid those shows at all closts lol. You all know better than me.

I mean...I love WIPEOUT...that is reality TV only I crack up when the poor people try to get through the big balls. AWESOME! Even fat people can do it...or try...most of the time they bouncey bouncey into the water lol..

I refuse to watch it I will not watch it as it is degrading and throws more of a bad stereotype on full figured women. I wish they would get rid of the reality shows and put on much better shows.

I was also one who didn't like the concept from the start; and the fact that these women feel like this is horrible.

I heard from a friend of mine that they also weighed the women on TV? No other 'reality dating' show does that....I think it's truly awful.

The only reality show I will watch is The Biggest Loser. And I'm sticking to that, and that alone.

Uuugh! What is the point of that?! Makes me dislike this show I've never seen even more. Because a bigger woman should be defined by her weight. Awesome.

how degrading! I saw about 5 mins and was truly disgusted! I have noo clue why these women would allow themselves to be be made out ot be poor pathetic fat losers basically! I have always been big myself! at least 230 and higher and i have had a boyfriend since i was 17! always one right after the other. as a matter of fact i had to beat a lot of them off with sticks!lol.. I was the "player" in my group of friends... and now I am happily married.. I NEVER had problems meeting men.. I really hope this is not the way the majority of overweight women feel

The show's concept pissed me off. I refuse to watch it. After reading your comments, I think I'm glad I'm skipping it.

That part bugs me to death! You don't see them doing that on The Bachelor, do you?!

Good, so I wasn't the only one who was grossed out by that too, lol.

The one thing I don't understand about shows like this is how ALL the women end up falling for the guy. How is that possible? Statistically there would have to be a few who realize they can't stand him after a few dates. And it's not just this show, it's all dating reality shows. Just once, I want to see one of the contestants walk off the show because she's just not that into him.
