Pizza will not defeat me!
So my best friend Jocelyn came home from Arizona on monday, a whole week early(and somehow managed to keep it secret from me-I was so surprised!) and I couldn't be happier! Since we're pretty much the same person, if I get motivated about something, she catches it like a cold.
She's struggled with her weight her whole life and has to take medication everyday for her thyroid-and she's gained 15-20lbs while she's been in Arizona. Part of that comes from her jerk-off boyfriend making her miserable all the time, but I'm hoping now that she's home, if I can pry her away from him once and awhile, I can get her to come work out with me.
Back to the pizza-last night my plans for heating up this fabulous chicken I made for dinner at work were shot, after I realized I left it sitting in the hot car for 5 hours when I got to work. I called Joce on my way home to see if she had eaten, because I reluctantly decided that I would pick us up some of our favorite mushroom pizza. She said she had leftover Albert's(another fantastic pizza spot, where you go for one particular type of pizza) at the house and that I was welcome to have some. I love my Albert's, but unless it's fresh and piping hot, it's just not worth the calories. And since she had already eaten, I decided not to pick up pizza. I had a big bowl of rice crispies before I went to her house, and a few slices of low sodium turkey on whole wheat bread before I went to bed. The universe worked around me to allow me to avoid all pizza detours. Phew!
10 days to mini-goal number 1, and going strong!
