Default I am new here

Hello all I am new and need support I have started exercising doing wii fit, weights and treadmill at the Y. My life has went thru some major changes in the last year and 1/2 I have became a stay at home mom gave birth to twins. I suffer PPD so sweets have been my escape maybe like some people use alcohol. After everyone is in bed I indulge in this sugar cookies that are filled with frosting about inch think and frosting on the top I eat 2 every night. It is what gets me thru the day. I just learned I am eating approx 4000 calories for these cookies. So please any support or beginning steps. Thanks again

So happy to have you join us. Sounds like you've already made some good changes. Keep that up, because it'll definitely help you battle the cookie-calories. It sounds like your life-changes have really taken a toll on your ability to cope. This is an excellent time for emotional growth. Think about what is causing you to go to the cookies and what it is they do for you.

I suffered from PPD too, and it was compounded by a lot of things. I wasn't getting enough sleep and ended up needing a sleep study and then a CPAP device. But before I got the CPAP, I would eat, a lot, just to get an energy boost so I could keep going. I gained a lot of weight after I gave birth. It took some time for me to figure all this out, but I had a good doctor, I learned a lot about managing depression, and the CPAP helped a lot.

Be strong and I hope you can find some good medical help. And we're all here for you too!
