I've never been much of a joiner but I'm hoping that I can commit to a group here because I know now that I need some encouragement and accountability.

Welcome. I have a plan for you, make a commitment to log on and make a post at least once a day for 30 days. Even if you fall off the wagon, or don't fully commit to weight loss at this point, commit to posting at least once a day. Give it a try.
Welcome! I'm a newbie too but have found all of the stories so inspirational and when I feel unsuccessful I read other's posts and look at thier successes and feel inspired to keep working towards my own goals.
