So I'm looking for a good yoga video.
I'm a beginner and I'm looking for something i could do 2-3 times a week, on the days I don't work out so I could gain flexibility and also learn to relax and breathe better.
Right now I'm focusing on cardio and strength to get in shape but I think yoga will help balance my healthier lifestyle
Also, I would prefer something that's under an hour due to time restrictions...
Several years ago I got the AM/PM Yoga DVD set and totally hated yoga for years. Randomly I took a chance with the Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga DVD and it's strange because I LOOK FORWARD to doing it every few days. After the first 2 or 3 sessions, I definitely felt my body becoming more limber and more sturdy. It gets pretty hard to hold the poses, but as I've been getting more in shape, it's been getting easier. It was pretty cheap off amazon. Good luck!
Yoga Download has 20 minute (more like 27 minute) free podcasts and longer ones that you can purchase. They have a pose guide that you can print out. http://www.yogadownload.com/
The yoga journal ones might be better if you've never done yoga, because the teacher gives a lot of pointers on form, and the poses aren't too complicated.

Thank you!!
Just wanted to point out that Yoga is working out! There are a few videos out there that are primarily for relaxation, but most should make you sweat!
Festivus you're right, I did break a sweat! But not as much as 30DS though!!
The biggest loser yoga video is wonderful! I love it
The eye candy doesn't hurt either...

Bob is such a gorgeous man--inside and out!
I love his commentary during the Level One. Whenever he says "it's okay to smile" I always break out in a big smile and it renews me a bit.
I think I'll try this video. To be honest, I LOVE yoga, but have yet to find a yoga video that I love. I'm used to taking classes where the teacher changes it up each class to keep it fresh. But I've heard good things about the Biggest Loser yoga video.
A question for the Biggest Loser Yoga DVD; is it modified for the bigger people? My aunt let me borrow a beginning yoga dvd and some of the moves on it were very hard for my mom who isn't flexible in the slightest.

They do have people who show the modified version of things. There's no crazy poses that require a lot of balance. In the very beginning, I couldn't hold the downward dog for long, so I would come out of it for 15 seconds then jump back in. They even tell you if you have to take a break, go into this easy pose. Also, when they introduce new poses, he tells how it's modified. Granted, some things don't have modifications (like holding your arms out), but you can always break from the pose for a second until you build to that strength level.
It's also great because as I've gotten stronger and more flexible, I'm able to commit to each pose more and continue pushing myself.
Thanks! I'll have to tell my mom about it then...it's kinda starting to get comical because I'll hear her in the morning complaining and once in a while falling over. I just want her to be safe and not pull anything.
If you have the time, I recommend videos by Yoga Zone, Rodney Yee, or Yoga Journal.
I have a personal thing (I work at a yoga studio) and I don't recommend yoga videos done by general personal trainers, etc. Yoga done by Kathy Smith or Biggest Loser isn't the same as those done by someone who live the yogi lifestyle, and devote their lives to it. It really isn't. It's like getting new brakes put on by the kid who works at the car wash...rather than by your mechanic.
Any of the Yoga Zone dvds are great, especially the ones instructed by Alan Finger. The dvds are well chaptered, so you don't have to do the whole thing.
I also really like Sara Ivanhoe's dvd "Candlelight Yoga."
