Exclamation Desperate! Need to lose a lot! Help!

Hi I am new here. I have to lose about 100 pounds. I am desperate! I have tried almost everything . I found this site trying to find out about Fullbars (wich I can't afford anyway). I know what I shouyld eat, and how much I should excersize, but the closest I get to actually doing it is researching on the internet, and I'm sure that doesn't burn too many calories. I have a dusty treadmill and weider home gym. I have no motivation. I lost about 30 pounds last year and then gained it back and some. I have lots of personal stressers in my life and a long commute to and from work. Those are my only valid excuses. Like I said I need help!!! Anyone?!

We have a lot in common. I also need to lose about a 100 pounds to reach my goal weight of 199. I commute quite a bit, but I live in New York, so I'm on public transportation. I use the time to moblog.
Stress has become a way of life in the last few years. I'm hoping things will calm down a bit.
I'm going to visit your blog after I finish this post.
Good Luck and I look forward to sharing
Frances

I've browsed by 3FC several times but I've never joined. I joined today. I have about 80lbs to lose. I've looked around and it seems like this is the place to be to be motivated and get support. I'm currently doing weight watchers which I find to be working for me.

hi! welcome. im a newb needing to lose 100+, also. i feel your sense of urgency and need for support. i joined this site a couple days ago. i see you looked into full bars. i never looked into them to seriously because of the price, but i did look into (and ordered) trimball-exp200. its all natural fiber thats suposed to expand up to 200 times its size in your stomach, forming kinda lika a natural gastric balloon. it comes with an extra "natural stimulant" pill, that i wont take because im sensitive to the effects of stimulants. but im hoping the fiber pill will help me not want to eat so much. havent received my order yet, but will definately post any results, good or bad.

My "motivation" is that I am determined this time to change my life for the better. I refuse to sit back and watch my life widdle away while I am unhealthy and miserable.

You can do this and we will support you if you need/want

No need to put off until tomorrow what can be done today. Find that strength inside yourself to believe in yourself and make some changes today

Hugs
Michelle

You have to get to the point where you care enough to make a change. Because honestly if you dont you wont be able to push yourself. Us being obese we are vulnerable to many diseases- which all lead to death, unfortunately. Excerise is difficult but it can be done in baby steps. Take a walk! Enjoy the nice weather, walk around your block a couple of times. That does burn calories, its a start. Diet, I prefer to say change of lifestyle. Honestly, diets dont work. You'll only get disappointed and give up with those. You will need to change what you put into your body. I believe whole wheat, turkey, lean chicken, fruits, veggies, lots of water, etc is what is needed. Thats just a example. But like someone else did say you have to want it enough to do it.

For me, motivation doesn't come from some external source. It comes from inside, and it's not a magical feeling of resolve that washes over me. It's a decision that I am going to take action. When my inner two-year-old tries to take over ("But I WANNNNNNNNNT the cooooookiiiiieeeee!!!!!!!"), I don't listen to her. She's not running the show anymore; it's me. Just like with a toddler, the first couple of times you ignore your inner two-year-old, she is going to throw a fit and you need to be prepared that, just for today, you will treat her with love but ignore her.

Once I start to see results, THAT is when I get motivated. When I started, I just started cutting out junk. That's it. No chips, no candy, no ice cream, no french fries. I lost 3 pounds. I did that for several weeks and stopped losing, but by then I was motivated to try other things and keep going.

This is what worked for me: Start taking action. STart NOW, with your next meal. Not Monday, not after <insert event here>--next meal. You will make errors in judgement and you will make poor decisions--I did!--but you will exercise your healthy eating muscles and it will become more ingrained, more of a habit. Then you won't NEED to rely on the elusive "motivation", because you'll have his friendly cousins, Habit and Committment, to help you along.

Good luck. You CAN do this. Keep reading; you will see all kinds of chicks who have accomplished astonishing things. If you haven't visited, the Goals section, I encourage you to do so now. You will see pictures that prove to you that this CAN be done! You can do this!

Well, it depends on what motivates you to stay motivated. Do you have something coming up in the next year or two that you'd like to be slimmer for? Would someone kickin' your rear into gear help? Would some type of a reward at the end do it for you?
