Default Spinning and Such

I am doing my first spinning class this afternoon, so I am very excited!

I am looking into branching into some other classes but not sure what interests me.

What classes / exercises do you do?? How do you like it??

The only classes I've ever done are:

Vinyasa Yoga - loved it, no cardio value, but excellent for stretching and a bit of strength building

Cardio Kickboxing - lots of fun but SO HARD!!!! great workout, am always sore for 2-3 days after...

High Energy - wasn't sure what to expect from this class, but it was lots of fun and something different every time. work with steps, resistance bands, exercise balls, free weights, lots of push ups/squats/lunges/ab work. very good cardio!

I've done just about every class out there (except Zumba, which is tops on my to-try list). I LOVE step aerobics - it is so fun, and your mind is so busy keeping up with the different moves, that you don't even feel like you're exercising. Spinning is probably the best cardio class you'll get, but it can get dull 'cause all you're doing is pedaling at different rates & resistance levels. Yoga - there are so many different types, so you can pick a nice, relaxing one or an over-the-top hard one like Bikram. Most resistance training classes bore or annoy me b/c they seem to be taught by women who believe that women should only lift 5-8 pounds at the very most.

I love yoga in most of its forms, and I also love aerobic dance and step aerobics. Alas, aerobic dancing and step aerobics seems to be out of favor now, so I can't find any classes locally I can attend.

How'd you like spin?

I LOVE spinning and have been going to classes 3-4 times a week for 4 months now! Each class I go to is a different instructor, and they are all kinda different, so I haven't been bored yet. Plus, the results are AMAZING!

The only other "group" format classes I go to are bootcamp style. There's one that mixes cardio and weights and another that is more old-school bootcampish with cardio bursts and then push-ups, squats, football drills, planks...
