I am 143 minutes away from my ticker goal for the month!
I have walked on and off over the years. But I got in a bad slump for a quite a few months and wasn't walking regularly, or for very long. So last month, around the 5th, I gave myself a kick in the pants and started walking for 55 minutes or so.
But I goofed off about half the time and only wound up at 950 minutes.
I was still glad I was getting back on track though.
So this month I decided to walk 30 days x 60 minutes a day = 1800 minutes - 4 days @ 60 minutes(to take a break) = 1560.
That is how I set Junes walking goal.
Well wouldn't ya know, June 1st my kids missed the bus! So I decided to just walk them to school.
That walk is 4.3 miles and about 87 minutes for me.(I do have to wait twice for a stop light to cross a main street.)
Now I used to do that last year and the years before, so this is no new thing for me, but I haven't walked for that long since last November.
I felt so good and energetic, I decided to do it the next day and the next. I even skipped my "day off" cause I was so mad at myself for goofing up some the previous month.
Well today will be the
16th day of walking 87 minutes a day. Some days there was a few more minutes added on. And it is the
25th day of walking straight, with no days off! Yeah!
I have 14 days left in the month, but have only 143 minutes left. So I now have 3 choices:
A. Walk one more day at 87 minutes and the next day at 56 minutes and take a break for the rest of the month!! hooray!!
B. Divide 143 minutes by 14 days and walk exactly 10.21 minutes every day for the rest of the month.
C. Change my ticker!!!
What do you think I should do????
