Default Flash flood + daily walk =

2 blistered feet + one happy dog!

We have had a ton of rain in the last 24 hours, which lead to some flash flooding of streets. This had pretty much cleared by the time I got home and ate lunch, and low and behold the sun came out! So, I figured if I drove to the park where I walk, thus avoiding the dirt trail from my neighborhood to the part, all should be ok. Wrong! The trail around the park is concrete, but there are little canals that meander through it, all of which were flooded over! It was up past my ankles at several points! So my shoes were thoroughly soaked, and I ended up with several blisters per foot.

On the brighter side, my little pup enjoyed frolicking in the water! He is such a goofball, I really need to take pics next time. At one point he jumped in and did not realize there was a current (he has never experienced that!) and I had to pull him out!

Here's hoping for a few sunny days and quick healing for blisters!

Ack! I know exactly what you're going though because we've gotten a ton of the rain too. It was so muggy I couldn't even do my normal 5k and I was out of breathe. Though I have to admit that the thought of walking in a flood area scares the heck out of me. I've seen our creek go from regular level to into the road in moments because it was raining somewhere further up.

Yikes! I saw lots of street flooding in Dallas on the news yesterday. Luckily in my area it is just the little canals and nothing over the streets. Thank goodness we got a sunny day (and hopefully more to come!)
