Goodness ladies, here it is the middle of the week and we didn't get our weekly thread started. This week has been crazy and I can't believe it's slipped by.

Sunday we had DS #2's graduation and it turned out really nice. The boys wear white tuxedo jackets and black pants, black bow ties. They look really sharp. It's hard to believe he's done with four years of high school.

Yesterday was my 10 year anniversary of reaching my goal weight--it's a milestone for me and I'm excited that I've been able to pretty much maintain my weight. SPeaking of weight, when I weighed in today I was up another .6 which takes me back in the 140's (143) and I really prefer being in the high 130's low 140's. I have work to do! At our meeting we have a "fork" that started going to the member who is struggling or who wants it so I took the fork this week to remind myself to write and to be aware of what I"m putting in my mouth. The members who take it must come back the following week and report and I must say that that members have had success with it. I need the help this week--we have DS #2's party on Saturday.

I went to the doctor today and came out empty handed, so to speak. My levels are almost at the bottom of the range for my Free T4 but not exactly there so they won't start me back on the synthroid. I was so upset because I really feel bad (tired, muscle aches, weight gain, emotional, etc.) and I told the P.A. that it's terrible and that I feel horrible. I told her this is not the time of year to be going through this because of the work load in our office. So, I wait two weeks go for more blood work and pray that my levels drop more. I've gone from normal, to high, to normal, and now to the bottom and can tell I'm on a roller coaster. I have a new mantra, "breathe in, breathe out, move on"

Lori: The picture of Phoebe is beautiful! She looks so cute How are you doing? Getting enough rest? Did you get more blood work done to check how you're doing in that area?

Lisa: Are you still getting rain in your area? My GF is here from FL to see her dad. He suffered a stroke on Memorial Day and he's been transferred to a rehab hospital but that ends on Saturday so I think they're going to be moving him again. He's not acknowledging his left side and isn't cooperating with the staff. My dad has lost weight again and has still hasn't gotten rid of the bladder infection so they're watching him. We did go out to visit him after graduation and it was a nice visit.

Life continues to be crazy--hopefully after this weekend (grad party) things will quiet down a little.

Melissa, Yes, this week slipped by. I was asked at the last minute to be in a play because an actress dropped out, so needless to say I've been busy learning my lines (only 12 pages). We open tonight. It's a locally written play and interesting. Congrats on DS's graduation. You've sure been busy. Sorry about the gain; I'm sure it has to do with your thyroid levels. I like the fork idea--clever.

I have some good news--went to WI and was down 5#!! I was so happy as I have been working hard. Of course, that still leaves me in an area I don't want to be (personal weight goal), but my clothes are now fitting a little better.

Tomorrow, my GF and I are volunteering for Meals on Wheels. The rest of the weekend will be the play.

Lori, I'm so glad your tests were good. It will be hard for you to return to work, won't it?

Wow, Lisa what a great loss! I'm hoping for some sort of a loss next week but we'll see. I start out okay and then get derailed. Today we had a short orientation program and there were leftover donuts--the good news is that I only had a piece of one. As a surprise, my "boys" came to work and took me out to lunch today It was so nice!

It's crazy here at work...I've been buried and haven't really been able to get my head above water. I'm finally seeing the top of my desk and am in a good spot in terms of what needs to be done.

Tomorrow is DS #2's graduation party and I have lots to do tonight.

Good morning! I couldn't sleep so I'm up about early this morning. I'm working at WW at 8:45 so I'll be off and running.

Friday had a nice surprise--my "boys" showed up at work and took me to lunch! It was so nice and we had a good time. I really miss not seeing DS #1 on campus and it really came at a time when I needed the break.

We survived the grad party and I have to say I'm SO glad it's over. We had a combined party with my husband's sister (her son graduated too) because they only wanted to invite the aunts/sisters/relatives once. They got this bright idea when we were at one of the funerals in February. Anyway, I really had my reservations about it and I was right on the money about that! It ended up being more of "their friends/acquaintances" and turned into more of a beer/drinking party than anything. I am glad I didn't invite my boss or some of my other co-workers. *sigh* Just thinking about it makes my stomach twitch, lol. Anyway, it's done.

I did get to see my GF from FL for a bit, although not enough. I'm hoping to get together with her today for coffee so we can talk. She told me she'll be back in August for two weeks and I'll be able to spend more time with her. Her dad was moved to the same nursing home that mine is in--he's in the rehab side and from what she said he looked a lot better yesterday and they were working with him already in PT.

Lori: I love hearing updates about Phoebe--have to say it makes me a little melancholy because my "babies" are grown. I would love to be able to go back and just savor those baby moments again--but I'll have to reserve that for grandkids!

Lisa: I hope you had a fun weekend and did what you wanted. I need one of those and maybe next weekend it'll happen for me.
