So I saw my surgeon this morning. You all know I have a blood clotting disorder... well once again that throws a wrench into my plans.
I have to go see my internist, then have a consult with the anesthetist and THEN have surgery. The need to get my heparin meds all sorted out as to a preventative treatment plan before I go in. My request went in today and I will hear soon from booking at which time they'll tell me my date. Tentatively? Mid to late June.
Sigh.
Double sigh.
Dramatic sigh.
My kids huge three dance dance recital of which my little daughter is STARRING IN as Alice in Alice in Wonderland is June 19-21. This better not mess this up.
In the mean time keep taking the drugs and if I have a huge attack head in and they'll yank it out emergently.
That sucks, CF! I hope you don't have any more attacks before they get this thing taken care of.
On the semi-bright side, at least it's not one of those surgeries that takes forever to get. I'm in Ontario and from what I've heard, it's not uncommon for some different kinds of surgeries to take months to finally happen.
So at least they do seem to be trying to get you in at a pretty quick pace. But I know it still must be such a pain to have to wait in flux. Hang in.
I know it sucks. Just glad that they are assessing your bleeding issue first, instead of on the OR table half-way through!!! And it is only a couple of weeks away, and everyone will be best prepared for getting you through this safely and effectively...
