Smile Hi, my name is Leslie!

Hello everyone!

I was very excited to find this forum/website. It should help due to I've recently begun getting SERIOUS about losing the extra weight I've gained through college and first year of marriage. I'm 22 and just graduated and have more free time to devote to the gym and eating healthier. Like many of you, I used to be smaller and healthier but life got in the way. I am a vegetarian and would LOVE easy recipe ideas if any of you guys are veg's. Anyway, does anyone else on here have a husband who can eat anything and LOSE weight?? haha..Thanks for reading, I'm excited to start posting my progress. So far, I've lost 2 pounds in four days.

Hiya Leslie! Good to have you with us! I know EXACTLY what you mean. My fiance eats anything and everything in sight. I'm serious he eats chocolates and crisps throughout the day, eats lots of starchy foods like cakes and pasta and bread and oven chips for his meals and then in the evening he'll sit in bed while we watch our evening film and he'll scoff toast and ice creams and chocolates. I used to occasionally have these evening snacks with him but am now having to just restrain myself. He also eats all my leftovers and will always pick off my plate. But here's the thing: he is skinny. I mean, properly skinny. His legs are like bean stalks and he just has no fat on him. Sometimes I almost say to him that he should gain some weight and then I remember that he eats enough junk to make any normal person obese. It's not fair is it! lol.

Anyway, i'll see you around

My boyfriend is skinny, but weight loss does seem to be easy for him. He quit drinking pop and lost 10 pounds. Ugh. Welcome!!

Default thanks guys

Thanks for the welcomes

M husband is exactly like beautyandthebeast....he doesn't have any fat on him it's just lean muscle, and never works out...he's trying to gain weight by lifting weights...i guess mother nature intended us to have more meat for child bearing purposes :P at least that's what i've told myself lol..and what kind of DVD you (touchmytoes) have? I have some pilates dvds but hardly ever do them...

Default dvd....fit friends

i bought it off ebay, claiming i soooo needed it, done it again today, its a really good work out but ive no room to do some of the things in my living room.

although..that being said, ive just bought the ea sports active game too and its supposed to be brilliant?!!

we'll see about that,

its hard cus my husband goes to the gym every day, he has a job with involves lots of doing stuff etc, where as I sit at my desk all day and hardly move,I hate the gym cus its so..man focussed i guess, as soon as a girl goes in they are all looking, makes me feel uncomfortable (its a free gym with my hubbys work) and im not paying to join one.

does any one feel like this....you wanna lose weight you really really do, you look at the pics of girls on tinternet and think god why cant i look like that, you know ur other half is having a peek over his newspaper which should really kick us in to doing something, but when it comes to the crunch i cant seem to get into my head and get it done?!!

xxx

I know exactly what you mean....I have a picture of megan fox on my computer as a "skinny" picture to keep me from going in the kitchen and eating things i don't need (computer is in the kitchen) i also have the trouble with feeling comfortable at the gym but there's a more equal ratio of men and women at ours....i think variety is the key but I'll never get involved in something that I KNOW i won't do come winter...i have to workout either in the house or the gym because then there'll be no excuse when it's freezing cold outside....

Hi Leslie!

I just got my degree too....finally, at 48! I'm also excited about having more time to exercise and to develop some healthier habits now that I'm out of school.
