Smile Hello from Manitoba

Just thought I would write a short note.

I am 27 years old busy mom and wife. I had 56 lbs to lose. I started herbal magic Feb 2 2009 and as of Friday May 8 I am down 38 lbs. Getting close to my goal. I am very excited to have found this site to bounce ideas off of other weight loss people and support.

hello from northern manitoba!

so is herbal magic the only thing you're doing differently and is it something you can do forever? The most successful people at 3fc (and I dont consider myself one because I have to maintain for atleast a year!) seem to find a way to change their entire lifestyle/long term habits so they dont regain the weight they lose during a diet.

I love this place! hope you do too - lots of support AND FREE!!

Congrats on your loss! Be sure to check out the 20 something forum and the maintainers forum---you don't have to be at goal to post in maintainers, you just have to want to keep lost weigh lost!

Thank you for the fabulous welcome!!!!

I have a few quirks to my lifestyle that made Herbal Magic a good option for me.
I have never been a real junk food eater. Dont get me wrong, I had no problem eating at McDonalds with my family or partaking in other bad foods. But I have always been very much into my fruits veggies using the Fat free salt free products and other such things.
I have Graves Disease. An auto immune disease. I wasnt allowed by Endocrinologists orders to do exercise. Even yoga or Pilates were a no no. So the herbal Magic doesn't require much exercise which is a nice touch when starting out. The medication I was on for graves helped me put on 10lbs over a years time, and made it next to impossible to lose even a lb with proper eating and exercise. However, since being on the supplements, My graves has gone into remission for the time being, my energy levels have been up and I have been walking (more then the 10 mins allowed by my endocrinologist.
I find the portion sizes to be a fair size and easy to follow.
I plan to keep on with this lifestyle of watching portion sizes and keeping the junk food out of the house.

Even if I do not make my goal of 120lbs Im happier then I have been in a long time at this weight. I feel so much better all around.
