Default Wii Fit

I have a wii fit,
so was wondering if anyone else here had one, and how they find it.
I enjoy the yoga and muscle workouts, but I find the aerobic excerises a bit lame!

My wii fit age is 34

I started using the Wii Fit a couple of days ago, and so far it's fantastic! I like that it gets me moving, even if the cardio is less than rigorous. I hope I don't get sick of it too quickly.

I am new here but wanted to chime in....I really like my wii fit! I have been trying to do some yoga and strength training then at least 20 minutes or boxing and step. I wish you could do more than 5 minutes of step at a time. I have the EA Sports Active on pre-order (release date is May 19th) so I hope to love that as much!

Yes, I agree, the cardio is lame. And this is from a 45 year old whose Wii Fit age is 47. I enjoy the step but it hardly raises my heart rate.

While a lot of the activities are fun, with the exception of hula hoops, running and boxing, there isn't much to make you break a sweat.

I just purchased Gold's Gym Cardio for the Wii. Although the title says Cardio it's primarily a boxing game with a few strength exercises. As a result, I've read some negative posts from people who expected a more overall workout. In addition, the Balance Board is not used for the boxing.

I, for one, love this game. The boxing will make you sweat. The Wii Fit version just gives you jabs with varying footwork. Gold's Gym uses 4-5 different punches, duck, duck right, duck left etc. It also has different game levels so the more you do the more levels/items/exercises you are able to unlock. I did 1-1/2 hours on Friday and I burned 629 calories. It's a great workout for me and I'm glad I've added it to my exercise routine. Amazon has it for $19.99.

The more you do the wii fit boxing and step new exercises open up and you can increase the amount of time and difficulty.

This is how I started out with exercise back in January. I had my hubby build me a riser to raise the height of the board for the boxing and stepping so that it was a better workout as well.

I don't use it as much now but this is a great way to start or on those occasional days (after you outgrow it) when you're sick or just not up to a more rigorous workout for whatever reason.

I will pick up EA Active sports tomorrow and I already have Golds Gym Cardio and My Fitness Coach.

Enjoy and good luck!

I just finished with that today! I love that it saves me a trip to the gym when its pouring and yucky outside. Made me happier to be able to work out a little, even if it wasn't as rigorous.

I didn't do so hot with the advanced step today. Its not too bad though... but then again... I'm easily amused

I pre-orderd mine from Amazon so it will likely take a few days to arrive. In the meantime, I'd love to hear what you think!
