Default Hi I'm new...

...though not new to dieting. I've been trying to lose weight for many many years but pregnancy and depression interfered a lot. I've lost 50 pounds in just under 12 months - I lost 28 pounds of it when I had a bad mouth infection in the Summer and couldn't weat for 2 months but I managed to keep it off I then broke my ankle in 3 places while on holiday at the end of last Summer and needed surgery which put an end to excercise for quite a long time but 6 weeks ago decided it was time to put more effort into losing weight. This time I'm determined I will get there.

I'm the mother to three daughters aged 9, 7 and 2 - the 2 year old is very clingy so doesn't leave much time for excercise but i'm calorie counting and trying to do an excercise dvd whenever i can. My ankle had healed now but still hurts a lot and also makes excercise difficult because I have screws and a plate in. I'm also a binge and emmotional eater so trying to fidn better ways to deal with stesses than eating. I've always been too ashamed of my weight to discuss it with anyone until now but now I think managing to lose 50 pounds is nothing to be ashamed with and the extra support will help me

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Rainbow, welcome to the boards!

Im new too, started over again with my diet last monday. I to have managed to lose weight in the past (for my wedding and holidays) but it's always gone back on.

Ive got two young boys (3 and 1 1/2) they can make exercising quite difficult. I was trying to do some stretches on the floor this morning, and the littlest came and sat himself down on my tummy(he's just too cute to get mad at).

Ive tried incorporating the kids into my exercise, taking them to the park more often, going to the park furthest away from my home, walking the long way to nursery things like that. Just take it easy on your ankle though.

We can do this together! Good luck!

Welcome! You have been through a lot lately, but you've lost 50 pounds...that is GREAT!!!! Keep it up! Make yourself at home here. This is a fantastic place for friendship and support! I have two small boys....toddlers can make things challenging. I know by taking care of me I will be a better mom to them!
