Thumbs up Getting started AGAIN in Ky!!

Hi everybody, I just found this place and it looks great so far! I am getting started again on my journey of getting healthy and THINNER after having my second child. I had lost 60 lbs and became pregnant with my son and gained it all back except 15 lbs. I have the hardest time with what to eat, with trying to feed the family too I feel so overwhelmed. Of course I was brought up on good old southern fried cooking (proberbly where my problem started!) and I want to change that in the way we all eat. I want more healthy foods, not necessarily all hardcore diet food but more tasty and healthy for everyone in the house, not just me. So therein lies my dilemma, I have searched for recipes for days without much luck, and help is greatly appreciated. Also any buddies I can get to give and share in the support here would be wonderful! Good luck everyone!

Hello Kymom. I would suggest to change little things at first. Like buy boneless skinless chicken and when you buy red meat maybe get the less fatty kinds (i dont eat red meat so i dont know what those are)
You can get recipes from foodnetwork.com. I especially like the Rachel Ray section because she does the 30 minute meals. I just started back on my life long journey and Ive been counting carbs. Its working for me. Maybe try that? There are several sections that can help on this website. Check them out. You can PM me if you need a buddie or more suggestions. GOOD LUCK!!!

I am from Georgia and trust me, Southern food is the DEVIL!! If it was not fried it was not served in my house when I was younger.

I am not gonna lie.. MAN I LOVE IT!

But I love my new self more =)

Good luck on your Journey.
