Default 100 calorie Strawberry Shortcake=YUM!

So, today I was label checking at Walmart and found individually packaged angel food cakes near the bakery that contain only 90 calories and .5 grams of fat per 1.75 oz cake! The brand is called Snacks Angel Food Cakes and they come in a white cardboard box that contains 6 cakes for about $3.50. Thrilled with my find, I decided to picked up a crate of strawberries and some fat free cool whip to go with. I have a major sweet tooth and this definitely hits the spot.

Here's the break down
1/2 cake- 45 calories
8 medium strawberries-35 calories
2 tbsp great value fat free cool whip-20 calories

I am in Mooresville. About 30 miles north of Charlotte.

Thanks for the tip on the glaze. I'll have to try that.

I realized after I posted this that there was a recipe section on here. I was just so excited about finding a yummy low cal dessert that is actually enough to curb my sweet tooth, that I wanted to share it. I was embarassed to find that strawberry shortcake was suggested as a low cal dessert like on the first page of the dessert section. LOL

Thanks for posting this! Yes there is a recipe section, but posts like this one help those of us who don't think to check the recipe section. I have learned so many helpful tips in threads like this one.

I go to Walmart often and will check out the cake and glaze!
