Default The first time I've ever lost more than 5 pounds:o)

So, I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she told me I have pre-diabetes, meaning I needed a MAJOR overhaul on the way I eat. Since then, I've been planning my meals carefully, snacking less often, drinking more water, and not eating as many refined carbohydrates, however, not cutting out all carbs, just cutting out white bread, cookies, crackers, and the like. Since Wednesday, I've lost 6 pounds!! Granted, I know it's partially water, but that's a REALLY big deal for me!!

I tend to snack out of boredom, not hunger between meals, so my doctor gave me natural appetite suppressants yesterday. They don't have any stimulants in them, they simply fill you up a bit. I took two before dinner, therefore, I didn't gorge myself at dinner, I just ate until I was satisfied. I started to get the cravings around nine at night, so I had one capsule and I felt satisfied. Granted, I know not to abuse these, but I plan on only using them for my biggest meal of the day (dinner) and to combat unnecessary late night snacking.

Also, since I've been eating at least 7 servings of vegetables a day and no junk food, I've noticed my mood shoot through the roof! I have so much more energy and I just feel happier. It's amazing to me the difference it makes.

36 pounds to go!

Congratulations!

I know how great it feels to do something you thought could never happen! You'll be at goal before you know it!
