Default TOM 9 months in a row = no PCOS?

This month marked the 9th month in a row I got my TOM!! I was so excited to get it (ha, go figured) and now I begin to wonder if I really have PCOS? I have never really been diagnosis just speculation from my doctor because my hormone levels don’t' suggest. If my scale isn't lying to me, I’m down 5-7 pounds so that may have helped. Have any of you ladies with PCOS got TOM that many months in a row? I am not on any meds and actually going to see my doc on thurs.

Just a fluke?

I'd see your doctor about it. If you've had your TOM 9 months in a row, then you may not be polyfollicular/polycystic after all. Is it the GP/family practitioner or an ob/gyn that you're seeing?

Although it it a major symptom, it is not the only sign. I, too, have gotten my TOM 6 months in a row unaided by BC. My doc says its def a good sign but not a DETERMINING sign that its gone. Know what I mean? Hope this helps!

I would also suggest seeing an Endocrinologist because PCOS doesn't just affect your reproductive system, it also deals with your hormones and your hormones are kind of like a symphony. When all the instruments are in tune and playing the way the should it sounds wonderful, but if the violin goes out of tune because a string was tightened then the clarinent will go sharp and so on and so forth. It's the same thing with your hormones, if one hormone is off the rest are likely to follow so I cannot stress enough the importance of seeing and Endo if PCOS may be possible diagnosis. It was when I finally went to my endo did I finally get the PCOS diagnosis after having speculated about it for years. I had told many general practioners and OBGYNs about my feelings and they all dismissed them. You have to give it to the endos because hormones are their specialty and PCOS is basically a result of something throwing off the balance of male and female hormones in the body along with other hormones so I would really urge you to go see and endo.

Hey, Heather, do we have the same siggy or am I just seeing things?

PCOS is on a spectrum. It is never really gone but symptoms can improve. It is wonderful that you have had a realible tom for 9 months. That is fabulous. I never did pre and post bcs.
