It can really depend on your weight too. If you've put your height and weight in, I assume you're using livestrong/thedailyplate then the count may be a little high as I've seen when I put in my exercise it tends to be but it just might be close!

Good job!

Hmmmm... I used your weight in one of those calorie calculators and it said that you running at 8 miles an hour burns 841 calories an hour, so 700+ calories for 1/2 hour seems high.

On the other hand, it sounds like this is a good workout that really made you sweat. I would sure keep using the Wave (in fact, I am going to have to look into this thing!) but I wouldn't assume I could eat an additional 700+ calories on the days I used it.

How is that for non-committal?

Agree with Numina - I'd be a little suspicious. I seem to remember that NordicTrak got in real trouble for advertising 600 calories burned in 20 minutes with the x-ctry ski machines - which also worked the arms. I'm using a 650 calorie/hour figure for swimming an hour at a 45 sec/50 yd pace, but I'm not even sure that's real any more because I can't crack 120 beats/min on my heart rate.
But ... if you enjoy doing it, it doesn't cause physical damage, and it makes you break a good sweat ... it's all good!

By the way, NaughtyMonkey, my hubby (Bob) has a really nasty sore throat/cough thing going on and still has to go into work, but when I showed him your Bob the identity crisis sheep avatar, he got a real chuckle out of it.

Thanks!
