I have been reading up on you guy's for so long I need an extra push and hoping you could all help me!
Last year on April 19th I just kinda woke up and decided I did not want to be overweight anymore. Just like that I started eating right and just moving alot more. I have lost 87 pounds (started at 255 down to 168.. yay!) and I can NOT get the last 3 off!! I want to do it before my year anniversary and I am going nuts!
I am excited about finally being apart of the community and I look forward to getting off my last 3 pounds and maintaining my weight loss.
Wow!! What great motivation you have!
Super big congrats on all the weight you've lost!!
I'm just at the beginning of my journey but may I suggest doing like they do on the biggest loser and doing some "last chance workouts" where they push themselves harder then the "usual" workouts??
It sounds a bit like a plateau, so maybe throw in some wild and crazy exercises that your body isn't' USED TO! Possibly pick that one exercise that you hate and add it to your daily routine?
Or maybe pick some moves out of a workout infomercial and add that to your daily routine. One I like is the P90x commercials where they lay on the ground (on their backs), lift their legs about a foot of the floor, and they lean the top halves of their bodies up and off the floor, and (hands clasped) touch their left hip then right hip then left hip. Change it up!!
Also make sure you're eating enough calories each day. To help you with that maybe check out NutriMirror.com? You can log your daily food, vitamin, and exercise intake. It'll help you stay on track.
Lastly, remember WHY you started this in the first place. To live a healthier life and pay less in health insurance when you're old and gray!! Keep up the AWESOME work and stay focused, you CAN do it!
Welcome! And GREAT JOB on your weight loss--what an accomplishment! You might check out the Featherweight's forum if you haven't already; it's for those chicks who just have a little to lose and they might have some information that could help you. I wonder how many other people like you are lurking and learning? It's cool to think about!
Thank you so much for the advice! I think I will try to kick it up a notch and see what it gets me.
You all are so supportive it makes me smile. I knew this would help me!
I bet there are alot more lurkers than you think! I found alot of people had the same questions I did and people would answer the person's questions so I never had to ask!!
