Default The Portion Teller

I just finished reading this book. Has anyone else read it?

It's about portion control and contains a lot of interesting facts. Basically it shows how the rise in obesity is exactly related to the portions of everything getting bigger and how in America we are sold food under the idea the "More is better." You learn how to eye-ball portions rather than measuring them out by comparing them to regular household items for example 1 baseball = 1 cup = 1 serving of veggies. There's a weight loss plan that involves eating a certain amount of each food group a day. Kinda like calorie counting w/o the counting. I really recommend it whether you follow the plan or not. It's a real eye opener.

Thanks. I am going to get it and read it. I don't like measuring and I am not sure my "eyeballing" is accurate. I suppose not since I am not losing much.

Portion control is probably one of my biggest problems. I like to load up the plate and I don't feel content until noticeably full.. not good.. I know.. I need to reprogram that part of my brain.
