Default Biggest I've ever been

Hi everyone. I'm 25 years old, and I had my first child 6 weeks ago. When I got pregnant I was the biggest I've ever been. I'm within a few pounds of my pre-pregnancy weight, but I still have a lot to lose. I found a picture of myself from 5 years ago and almost cried. I couldn't believe how slim I looked, but at the time I didn't realize it.

Now, I need to get back to where I once was and stay there. My goal is to lose 55 pounds. I'm going to need energy to keep up with my growing little girl. I hope to be able to offer support and encouragement on here and receive the much needed support as well.

Hi, I sure do know how you feel. Pictures/video say it all! I am just beginning my journey (again) and have a lot of obstacles to deal with. You can do it. The advice I would give is, since you just had a baby, give yourself a break and don't beat yourself up. Remember your hormones may be going crazy too, so keep that in check. Also, if you are breastfeeding, that helps burn calories (but you need more calories too.) I just had an "a-ha" moment as I am typing this. I am going to take my fat picture and post it all around the house and in my car (where I make most of my fast food runs) and hopefully that will keep me motivated. Or, you could post a pic of what you look like now and what you looked like in the pic you found.

Good blessings to you. You can do it.

Hey Tador---I am 27 years old and I am also at my heaviest...it can be a hopeless feeling...but you CAN DO IT if you stay determined.

I have really found 3FC to be very helpful as far as information and motivation.

Good luck and remember that you are not alone in your journey!!

The best advice I found here was to tell yourself to make good eating choices and exercise for today.. repeat tomorrow, its amazing how those days turn into months! Set small goals. 50 lbs is hard to imagine but 10 lbs 5 times.... not so overwhelming!
