Cool Possible to loose 10 lbs in 4 weeks??

My birthday is 4 weeks from next Wednesday and I plan to start hardcore next Thursday until the Thursday before my birthday and really want to loose 10 lbs. I have been exercising 4 times a week either bikram yoga or gym or sometimes both. I am currently doing Weight Watchers. The most I've lost in a set amount of time was 6 pounds in 3 weeks.

has any accomplished this before? what have you done and do you have any advice ??

Thanks!!

I have consistantly lost 10lbs per month since January. It wasn't easy--but it's doable.

It is difficult for me to lose that much that fast for a few weeks consistently but it is doable with patience and perseverance. If you fall short though, please don't beat yourself up. ANY loss is good!

I lost about 12 pounds my first month but honestly we are all different and there is no definite way to say you'll lose at the same rate. Just remember to follow the good health guidelines that WW has (you sound like you have the exercise down) and it can very well happen

I was able to do it when I was around 250 still, but at this weight? I think it would be a frustrating endeavor to try, and I'm not sure if it's healthy to try.

Depends on how much you need/want to lose but as others mentioned, I don't think it's unreasonable to lose 10lbs in a month.

But why wait until Thursday to go "hardcore"?

I agree with KDuffer--it's possible but why don't you start today?

It could be doable, like the others have said. I usually lose 8lbs a month, but one month I lost 12lbs. It really depends. Everyone is different.

But I agree - why not start today?

As everyone above states. This is a doable task. However the larger you are (weight-wise) the more you lose at a given time generally. Like I lost 10 pounds my first month and my mom lose 10 pounds her first WEEK. However she weighs almost twice as much.

I planned for 10 pounds a month for my goal and I that has not been an easy feat for me. Just wanted to give you my experience.

Some people can lose 10 lbs in 4 weeks, especially at the start of a diet. Some people can't. If you lose fewer than 10 pounds, it doesn't mean you did anything wrong. I typically lose under 1 lb a week. Any progress is good -- don't try to tie yourself to artificial milestones.

That said, I'm a total hypocrite, and I hope that I lose a full pound per week until I attend a reunion of sorts in mid April, lol (139.5 would be great!). But if I don't get to that mark, I can still make progress and no one will know except me.

Give yourself the best chance of making it -- start right now... This instant!

Thanks so much guys for all your experiences! I'll try not to beat myself if I don't reach 10! =) .. I finally measured my body- I noticed some people may not lose weight but loose inches first.. so lets see what happens! I'll keep you updated in 4 weeks and see if I loose anything at all !
