Default a mental health moment

So, I'm bipolar and I"ve been getting manic lately. I caught it really early though and got a new med and am getting things under control slowly but surely.

I just wanted to say that I'm pretty much just maintaining. I haven't been watching very well, but am trying here and there. it's hard with all this noise in my head to do anything. I stopped cleaning and am kind of thrill seeking instead. I need to get back on track in all aspects of my life, starting today. It's not just about meds, I need to make an effort too!

hopefully will be back here this week.

Good Luck to you! I have bipolar in my family and know how difficult it can be. Kudos for recognizing what was going on and getting the meds adjusted

Lottie,

Hang in there, its hard I know. For what it is worth, given the normal pattern most of us share of losses followed by large gains, maintaining is a huge victory! give yourself some credit.

Lottie, so glad you're checking in and that you caught your slide into the mania before it got too bad. Hopefully, the meds will help you find your balance soon.

Thanks everyone.

The new med I'm on is a major weight gainer. I"m hoping to keep things in control.

I've been diagnosed with bipolar as well, but I'm not sure how well my meds helped me. People close to me thought that I was worse while on them... so I stopped. I haven't discussed with my doctor switching medications. I usually notice things after the fact, but I know what you're going through.

Take care and hang in there, mmmkay?

The main thing is to take care of yourself and to take the meds. At least you recognized what was happening. My sister in law is bipolar also and I know it is a struggle to get back on track. We are here for you.
