Default Hit goal!...but still bummed...

Hey Ladies,

So I weighted in today, after not weighing in since last thursday. I reached my doctor's goal and have lost 10 pounds which is great, but that's exactly where I was last thursday. I haven't lost a single pound since last thursday!!! What the fcuk man! Honestly, I cheated a couple of times on my diet but it was nothing that would have destroyed me like this. I was expecting at least a 5 pound loss, I woud have been happy with 3 but nothing?! Zero?

I'm very proud of myself for hitting my 10 lbs goal...my first goal every reached actually, but not losing anything else in a week was kind of a blow.
It hurt you know, i couldn't even focus at the gym and had to leave (im going back tonight, don't worry).

What was it? Should I do more weights or less weights? More swimming or less swimming? Cardio in the morning or cardio at night? What is it that made this week some different from last week.

At this point i feel like im rambling, so i'll stop but i just needed to vent...

frustrated and confused.

That's great you made your goal, but I understand how you feel. Sometimes things just don't cooperate...no matter what. Please don't let this throw you off track or get you too discouraged. You are doing wonderfully by making a goal. You could eat taco bell all day and gain like me Damn those burritos....anyway, it will come off eventually. I know it seems like forever and it's sooo hard when you've worked at it and there's no reward at the end, but hopefully the next time you will see the numbers go down. Good luck!!

I don't know why our bodies do that, but yes there are some weeks that the scale shows no losses, but don't give up!! Keep going and the scale will show a change soon.

Default hey!

You wrote me a message and I was so encouraged. I can't write you a message back because I don't have enough posts yet, but Thank you!
What helps me is
1. writing down what I eat
2. writing down how much I exercize
3. having a general calorie amount for the day, but mainly focusing on eating when the stomach growls and stopping when I am 80% full.
4. I exercize at different times each day, but i feel better when I do it at night.
5. trying to get vegetables in for 2 meals each day.
6. cutting back on calories from fluids like juice or pop.
hope this helps. vent all you want because I know it helps me.

I hate being stuck. It seems when that happens. I give up and my weight climbs back up. That happened when I was around 245 I gained my weight back last year. Recently also I gained 2 pounds which doesn't seem much to me but it makes me feel bad. I got side tracked because the scale didn't move it stayed at 270 so that was probably the problem that made me slip up. Good news is I lost those 2 lbs again. So don't give up. It takes time and once you lose 1 or 2 pounds it gets better. Even that helps. Keep trying. =D

calisa, there are lots of reasons the scale will not show your work...we all have fluctuations, it's just part of the deal..watch your sodium, drink your water water, eat your fiber and whatever you do, stay on your plan..I promise you will see results ahead. Good luck to you.

Thank you all sooooo very much, jooanie im glad you got my message. I'm gonna start taking pics to track my progress as well, and i will also stop focusing so much on the numbers because what's more important is how im feeling.

Since I reached my doctor's goal I can now focus on my Easter goal. 218! I also added my birthday goal.

Thank you all again. Seriously, this website is one of the only things keeping me going.

You guys rock!
