So one of my friends called me the other night to see if I had my passport updated. Told him I had to look for it, but should be okay. He is taking me to Panama for my birthday (well, I pay for airfare, but he's got everything while we are there!) Has anyone ever been? Any suggestions on where to go, what to see? At least exercise shouldn't be a problem there since I'm sure we will be spending lots of time hiking and kayaking, but how do I resist all the food?
Really excited and even more motivated to get some more weight off before my birthday!
Hi Steph, yeh I went on a cruise once we docked there but we only had a day to have a quick tour so I grabbed a cab he took me to the canals and some ruins and to the stores for souvenirs it is NOT SAFE to walk around alone. My cabby accompanied me the whole time and he charged me a lot for doing it but it was worth it. Some people onboard the ship left their belongings in their cab and had a digital camera ripped off while they were looking in a church!! So, be careful and enjoy yourselves
Thanks Cathy! Going anywhere alone shouldn't be a problem as he was born in Panama so still has lots of family down there. I tend to follow that advice pretty much any strange place any more!
