Hello...my name is King...I just started the South Beach diet on halloween 2008...i've lost around 10 lbs since I started...I had lost around 15.5 pounds by the weekend after thanks giving...but I fell off. I am hopping back on and am looking forward to the day I post my picture in that awesome Goal! forum!!!! lol...I am currently 424 lbs. and i don't really know what kinda goal I reeeeallly want, but for the sake of having SOMETHING to work toward I'm saying 240 right now,I have a looooooooong way to go. But with God,determination/discipline,and friends...I believe I can do it. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself!

Hi King, welcome and happy Friday. I did the South Beach for a while but it turned me into a firm believe that when it comes to food, a little bit of this or that is okay in small portions. Of course not everyday, maybe once a week, that way you are not depriving yourself of something you love and go crazy because you can't have it. I have a cheat day picked out, usually Saturdays and think all week about what I am going to cheat with; chocolate, pizza, etc.

What I found to work well for me is eating every three hours. It keeps your metabolism up and I like eating so it hasn't been painful like other diets I've tried.

I wish you luck and hope that we can chat more.

Welcome! I am following weight watchers and I love it. You will find so many different ways to lose weight, but you just need to find what works for you. If south beach worked before, go back at it 100%! No matter what you do, keep positive and we're only a click away

Otherwise i'll get too comfy lol...HOWEVER, i am sooooo gonna have a cheat day! lol. that's a great idea and it goes in with the philosophy of the creator of the body for life diet. Oh and To mandyLyn...
I did WieghtWatchers and lost around 25 lbs. It was easy and practical, but the costs got me in the end. I still fully plan to use some of their tips though, their snacks are so quick and easy and GOOD too. Love those frozen graham cracker and whipped cream things....YUM
