Well, I just spent 3 weeks in Jamaica (not at a resort)... Staying with locals, living the way locals live. I'm not going to lie, it was hard to stay on plan, and 99% of the time I didn't. I normally ate one meal a day, which consisted of fried chicken and rice, fried dumpling, fried festival, and fried potatoes... you see where I'm going with this...fried fried fried. Unfortionally, I didn't have much choice, as "fried foods" is a large part of Jamaican culture... so I just went with the flow, and managed to stay the same weight as before I left. Thankfully. Probably because I only ate once a day most of the time. HOWEVER, when I returned to Canada, I went on a 3 week binge, and gained a bit back. I'm just now getting back into the swing of things.
Dieting it not easy when your away from home. If your boyfriend lives in a country with proper grocery stores it shouldn't be an issue though. Just let him know you are eating healthier, and go grocery shopping with him.
but don't forget, you are on vacation - have a little fun and don't worry about it too much! Have a great time
