New Here for Weight Loss: Round 3
Hi, I'm new here (obviously or I wouldn't be posting in this thread!). I'm Candace, 23 years old, and from Florida. This is my third time on the weight loss train, but it's a much more significant amount than the previous times. I was in shape as a teenager, but gained 27 pounds in my first year of college (too much fast food while cramming for exams). That put me at 155 pounds. I lost 16 of those pounds the next year, but did it by going kind of extreme with my calorie limits and so I gained back the weight and more when I actually started eating like a normal person again. That put me at 170 pounds after some time. Mid-last year, I lost 11 pounds, but then gave up when the holidays came and gained all those pounds back too (and then some)!
Now, I'm at 182 and trying to lose 48 pounds (I've already lost one, so I guess now it's 47). I'm rather short (only 5'3") and I feel comfortable around 130 to 135 pounds. Most importantly, I'm getting married in March 2010! So, I gotta work my butt off to be a buff bride. I tend to be a stress eater, so I'm trying my hardest to conquer that dirty little habit.
