Default Anyone have this problem in Phase 1?

I'm having the biggest trouble with eating in the early part of the day. I'll eat breakfast (usually an omelet with veggies and a meat) and then I really don't feel like eating again until around 3:00. It's not just that I feel full but literally, the thought of eating anything makes me ill. It's almost 11:30 now and I can't possibly imagine eating a snack or lunch. I really feel like if I ate something I'd gag and throw up. I know, TMI but I'm just trying to explain so you don't think I'm just trying to get away with not eating because I feel full.

I felt that way this morning. I had my omelet and then took my toddler out to play, took my snack with me, and sort of stared at it and just didn't want to eat it. I wasn't especially hungry at lunchtime either, but I did eat my salad because I knew I needed to eat.

It's a nice change from the mindless snacking I've been doing up until now, but I also understand why snacking is mandatory.

What time are you eating breakfast? Is it possible you're eating a little later than you could, and that's throwing your daily rhythms off?

Are you taking a multi-vitamin? That sometimes makes one feel a bit "off".

I'm the same way. I forgot to eat on two different occasions during my 2nd week of Ph1. I go hungry a bit, but not enough to propel me toward the fridge. On low fat diets, I would wait by the fridge, counting down the seconds before I was "allowed" to eat. I love SBD.

MomPOm, I didn't have that problem, but I do remember that before I did SBD, I used to eat an entire bagel with cream cheese and 2 pkg of oatmeal, prepared, for breakfast, and I was hungry about an 1.5 hours later. On SBD, that doesn't happen.

I'm not sure about the nauseous feeling (though I think Ruth is totally right if you're taking a multivitamin--most of mine made me feel sick if I didn't take them with food), but I would think that the difference between how hungry you are when you eat simple carbs and how full you are when you eat protein and veggies could be the issue you're feeling, especially if you used to skip breakfast.

If it doesn't go away, you might want to talk with your doctor.
