LOL well time for a new thread, new week....and yep I still have this nasty nasty cold/flu stuff...
wi today I stayed the same which surprises me I would have thought I gained iwth all the martini's I drank last night. think I am done with that for awhile
So this week I plan to be back on track, maybe not the exercise part until this nasty stuff goes away but at least stay away from the wine and liqueur. I was looking at my journal and I have stayed within 1 pound since mid december, it does get discouraging to see the scale go up a tad, then down a tad but never really move.
Last week I planned out all my dinner meals which worked for a few days until we all got off track and I am going to try it again this week.. I have something like 12 cards to choose from so I am going to go line them up. But tonight I know we will be having roasted chicken. I cooked it yesterday so we will eat it tonight. I also have some talipia I need to cook no later than tomorrow.
Hey what are some typical eve meals for you?
Anyway I know we are all going to really see the scale move this week I can feel in it my congested head and chest
Chicken Caesar salad
Taco salad
BBQ pork – on the grill
Chicken Stir Fry
Shrimp Stir Fry
Chicken quesodillas
Whole wheat pasta spaghetti
Chili & grilled cheese
Frozen pizza – served w/ a big salad for nites when I can’t bear to cook
Fish – I’m new at fish, I’m going to try one of the recipes you posted last week Nancy!
Usually some kind of veggie for sides. My evening meals are always heavy on the vegtables.
Last night we ended up going to Logans instead of Applebees. I had so many extra points left and they have the best bbq grilled chicken breast. I also got my potato loaded and had a side salad. Quite a few of our friends ended up coming over last night so I ended up going way over my points by drinking beer! O'well it was such a great night and I worked my abs by laughing all night long Im just going to count it as a free night.
I have to go grocery shopping, man I just dread going to Walmart on a Sunday afternoon.
I lost my grocery list, so now I have to try to remember what was on it and come up with a new one. YUCK!!!
Sounds fun Anna! Glad to hear you had a good time. I don't count my alcohol on nites we go out. So far it hasn't impacted my WL. I just relax & have a good time.
It prob evens out for me 'cuz I don't count my activity points either.
Jill what do you put in your stir fry's? I seem to get stuck on green cabbage, carrot, onion every now and then broccoli
Well this evening I am feeling a tad better and I have stayed in my points only because the thought of food really does not sound good...boy that is shock for me to say. And you know there are those people who say food is not important...I have never been one of those
ok I will behave. Must be the cold med's that have kicked in
Hey Jill! That is so funny that you found a houndstooth blazer because I bought a George houndstooth blazer at our Wateerfront mission a few weeks ago!
Well tomorrow is my weigh in. I ate at Moe's southwest grill and I will be over by 4 points for the day so I hope I will still lose this week.
Well I'm gonna have some dinner and I may be back later.
Jill I dont count my activity points either.
TOM decided to show up on Saturday so I havent weighed myself again to see the damage from that night. I figure TOM causes enough damage so I am just going to wait until my WI day on Saturday.
Nancy, im glad you are feeling a little better!!!
I love Moe's its so filling and yummy and its not too bad on points,
I was great yesterday and stayed in my points and im on track so far today. I have to go to the mall to get my son some shoes. Hopefully I can force myself to do a workout dvd tonight.
Nancy – I use peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, brown rice, chicken/shrimp & Teryaki sauce.
Michelle – now I see your post……..that is totally funny & ironic. I was super shocked at how much designer clothing was at the Goodwill I went to. I think I’ve found a new hobby. I want to check out the one on this side of town sometime this week.
Check out our anniversary menu for tomorrow. DF & I planned it today.
Salad: mixed greens, cucumber, sugar snap peas, white balsamic vin dressing, pepper jack cheese, dried fruit & almonds
Entrée: King crab legs w/ drawn butter, Potatoes Parm Augratin (WW recipe), & roasted or steamed veggies
Dessert: Rasberry Tiramisu (WW recipe)
Beverage: Fantastic bottle of Reisling, yet to be purchased.
Yummy huh? And all on plan……..I’ll let you know the total damage tomorrow, but I saved my WA for this. 8 years tomorrow. EIGHT YEARS.
I’m in a bit of disbelief, but proud of us. It’s been quite the ride. We’ve really grown up together.
We're going to the gourmet grocery store tomorrow to get all of our ingredients. Looking forward to that as I have never been there.
Nancy - sorry to hear you are still sick. I hope you feel better soon. This one really got ya huh?
I had a little epiphany today. Since I have been on-plan for so long (9 weeks!) I've been unconciously seeking out other ways to enjoy myself that aren't food related. DF & I were reflecting on this past weekend......we went out w/ friends, went shopping for new coffee/tea flavors, went thrift store shopping, went out to see a band........all these things when in the past our weekends had been mostly laying around, napping & ordering in. We called it relaxing, when in actuality we were just lazy & letting our life pass us by.
We've been to 4 new places together in the last 4 days. 5 today after we to to the Gateway Market (it's a gourmet grocery store). Not only is it doing wonders for my weight loss but it's really helping our relationship. We're actually having fun again. This is what has been missing
It's crazy how bad food can impact your life. I feel like a blindfold has been taken off & I'm seeing things for how they really are for the 1st time in a long time.
Crazy huh?
I gotta hop in the shower. Everyone have a wonderful on-plan day!!
Congrats on 8 years Jill. That dinners sounds so yummy! It's very true about getting out and about. When im OP I feel better about myself and have so much more energy that I want to get out and do things instead of just sitting on the couch watching tv.
Nancy, I hope you get better soon.
I didnt get a work out in yesterday, I just had too much stuff to do with the kids. My plan is to go straight to the park to walk and then to the gym for weights before I go home.
Chefs I know what you mean about food taking over...DH and I use to go hiking every weekend for years, rain or shine then somewhere along the line we slowed down and stopped. I know some of it had to do with his work, and his ability to walk without pain ( he has some feet and hip problems) but I contributed too, by using the excuse gas prices are to high to drive up in the mountains (where we love to hike) etc. But we do get out to find new places around town to explore but not often enough. This is just something we have to work on to find a way to incorporate this back in our lives again.
Well today again I am taking the cold med and it does kill you appetite (hey new diet pill---market that and make a mint??) but the other side effects just are not worth it lol...dry mouth, a bit jittery blah blah anyway I am forcing myself to eat
Todays excellent menu: breakfast 2 high fiber english muffin 2pt, 2 egg beaters 1pt, 2 slices canadian bacon 1pt
Lunch 2cups barley veg soup 3pts, steamed cabbage, carrot 0pt
Dinner 6 oz of tilipia 4pt, 1/2 baked potato 3pt
Snacks don't know yet
Hey ladies!! Sorry I have been MIA and haven't had time to catch up with all the posts.
I had a small loss of .4 which is pretty good considering I celebrated Valentines Day in a big way...lol. Oh well back to work this week. I was at work late today and didn't get on the TM today and yesterday we were out so nothing 2 days in a row...yikes. I am going to try to get in more time than usual the rest of the week to make up for it!!
I will check back in tomorrow!!
Hi Everyone! Can I join? I was doing pretty well before Christmas with WW@H, and then had a stomach problem (I think it was caused by Alli) that made me questions everything I had been eating.
Back to basics, and back to WW@H! Now to find all of my program stuff. I am trying to get back to using the CD. I used to work out regularly, but a knee injury and back injury made me stop caring. (Lol, headed that way anyway, but it was a good excuse)
But I tried the CD on Mon., and it wasn't bad, so I will try again today.
I have been into sweet breakfasts lately, so I've been making Krusteaz muffins or checking out the recipies on this board. I don't like to cook, but I'll force myself.
I cooked dinner for 6 for 20 years, and I'm a bit burned out....
And who said they gained 5.8 pounds in a day? My DD never believed that, but I have done it (and lost it) over and over! Partly water, but I think sugar and fat can sometimes do that. Like a candy bar or cookies....my downfall for 20 years, but I think I am finally getting control over them. Last night I was thinking, "Chocolate Chip Cookies" and had a bowl of cereal. My DH thought it was crazy, but it worked, and I lost 2 pounds of the 6 I gained back during Christmas.
Good Luck everyone!!
Welcome Linda!
Congrats on the loss Wanda even a little bit is great!!!
Im starting to feel sick and it is getting worse as the day goes on! YUCK.. I guess I will be taking a shot of Nyquil before bed in hopes it will knock it out before it gets worse.
