Good morning Chicks I've got a pot of Red Eye Express going - anyone want me to try PMing you a cup

Not much going on here. We start our lunchtime fitness break at work today. I sure hope someone other than the other organizer and I show up! Then tonight is yoga. Will be a long but healthy day.

I sure hope the warm weather comes back later this week. It was so nice out yesterday.

What's happening in your world?

Good Morning,

Hi Cyndi, are we up early or is everyone else sleeping in?

Zeff-- I'm so excited about your house! My friend moved when her youngest was 6 weeks. He had his first spend-the-night party with me while she moved. Of course, she wasn't nursing. Also, my parents have Louisiana Sweet Oranges planted in Lake Charles. They grow beautifully and taste delicious!

Jenn -- I wish we had a Trader Joes here. Y'all make it sound so good!

Me -- DH is writing reports in his office today. DS has school. The weather is perfect! I'm going to the walking track after I drop DS off. Hooray! We may make another trip to Sam's Club this afternoon. My MIL had knee replacement surgery last summer and is having a heck of a time getting out of her recliner. Sams has a nice, inexpensive line of recliners.

The weatherfolk are calling for severe thunderstorms with possible tornadoes Wednesday afternoon. Ah, Springtime in Alabama.

Have a great day!

Good morning! The Doggage and I slept in until 6:40 this morning. I guess staying up to watch the 11 PM news did the trick.

CyndiM, love the title! Your day sounds pretty active. I hope you get a good crowd at your noonday fitness. I wish I could get back to yoga but my new knee doesn't allow me to do a lot of the positions.

Chelby, spring in Alabama sound much better than our current skiff of snow on top of ten more inches. I sympathize with your MIL on the recliner problem and hope you can find an easier one for her.

Today has to be a "meaningful" Monday with no "meandering"! I goofed off much of the weekend with sewing stuff and need to get it together today. I won't bore you with my list but it does include some concentrated dog training and trips to the bank and drugstore.

Now I'm off to catch up on the other threads.

Ruth, did you have knee replacement surgery, too? My MIL had a real tough time last summer, crying almost every day -- and she is not a crier. She called her therepist "Satan". My hubby installed new tall potties for her. She was thrilled! It takes so little to make her happy.

Chel, have you thought about those lift recliners? I see them once in awhile on craigslist.

Morning, girls.

Cyndi - a lunchtime fitness break is a great idea! Have fun at yoga!
Ruth - have a motivated day! Sounds like it will be busy.

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and afterwards we're getting some boxes. We're going to try and move on Saturday (why do I do this to myself?!) because it is either that or Mardi Gras weekend and I would prefer not to move when half the town is shut down and traffic is horrible. I'm recruiting help via facebook and tempting them with free beer...hope it works. The more people we have, the faster it will get done.

morning all. its quiet right now thankfully. seems awful stressful lately. yesterday my 16 year old moved to her aunts...5 hours away....i was happy about this cause she has had so much trouble with school that i thought she would just drop out once she turned 16 a month ago. well instead there is a great alternative ed school by my sister so i was happy about then. then when they got there she called to tell me she is pregnant. yeah thats what i thought. anyways, my sister can't have kids so is happy to help her out til she can finish school. so we'll see how this goes.

also, i'm starting bfl today. i thought i read where someone else did it while on sb but can't seem to remember who.

Good morning! I don't have a lot of time as it is the first day of my new "early" schedule -- but I wanted to report in that I lost 4 pounds this week! I was so happy to see it, as it was my first week of phase one, and you just never know what to expect!

Anyway, I've got a whole chicken simmering in the crock pot today with garlic and a little salt and pepper and broth...so let's hope it makes for a yummy dinner! OK, gotta scoot!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday!!

Zeff -- MIL's doctor told her not to get a lift recliner, to stay as independent as possible. I see that. She says she doesn't want one because they look like a nursing home. I see that, too. Her recliner is old and the springs are worn out, making it hard to push herself out of it with her arms.

Me4Life -- When it rains, it pours. I'm so sorry. My brother's GF was pregnant when she was 16 and he was 18. All you can do is make the best out of it. A baby is precious no matter the circumstances.

I'm off to take DS to school!

Good morning.

Cyndi, I'll take a cup. I had knee surgery in '95 and don't have normal range of motion. Do you think I could do yoga?

Chelby, have a great day. We are expecting a beautiful day too. Maybe I'll go for a walk.

Ruth, you are always so busy. I doubt you do much meaningless meandering.

Zeff, glad you found something so quickly. I don't envy your move though. We've done it too many times.

me4life, what is bfl? Good luck with your daughter.

NM, congrats on your loss. That is great.

ME, I am up 2 pounds. I know it's from my poor eating choices last week. Back on track today.

Morning Chicks I'm feeling really good this morning. Me and the DH went on a little trip yesterday 2 hours away to a little historial town walked around hit some shopping and had a late lunch/dinner at chilis so i thought I had really messed up, today started the first day of phase 2 but started yesterday by having a hamburger on a wheat bun at chilis but I also had a few fries and thought oh no that scale is going to hate me now LOL but to my surprise it was down a pound. So what I've learned is I can have those off limit foods in moderation every now and again its been probably 3 weeks since i had any potatoes. Sorry for rambling but i was excited to see the scale loved me today and not hated me.

Cyndi- I wish we would have a fitness lunch break at work!!! I work in a spa so I should just take the time to go over myself and workout in the gym, right?! lol...

Chelby-Enjoy the weather for the moment! sounds like we are in the same boat!

Ruth- I goofed off too much this weekend too!!! here is some chore for the both of us!!!

zeff- I hope the move goes smoothly for you! I wouldn't want to move on mardi gras weekend either!

me- sorry to hear about the troubles with dd...

NM- congrats on your loss!!!

Pam- good luck getting right back on track! those 2lbs will be off in no time!

skinnybride- I am really suprised your scale went down a lb! just because Chilis puts sooooo much salt in everything!!! I bet it will go down some more in the next couple days too!!!

Today I am with Ruth and absolutely no goofing off today!!! I didn't do my chores yesterday so I have got to get some done today! We have an appointment scheduled with h&r block... we have fairly simple taxes, the biggest thing is we bought a house this year so not sure if I should just do them or go get them done.. any thoughts on this guys? I am going to be upset with myself if the refund isn't bigger than what I came up with and then we have to pay them a hundred bucks! Weather here is holding nice except it looks like it may come a downpour any minute! The weather yesterday said 10% chance of rain but I bet thats changed! nope, looks like its just going to be mostly cloudy... well, I am off to finish my coffee and check the new threads then its time to WORK!

Pam - I had knee surgery in 2002 and have a lot of arthritic damage so can't do all the poses (also 3 damaged disks in my back). A good yoga instructor will check with you before you start so he/she knows your limitations and will offer you alternative poses for those you can't do. I've been lucky and had a run of really good teachers who are good at adapting movements. Yoga classes offered in gyms usually aren't a good choice because their focus is very different.

Zeff - Offer air fare and I'll come and help

Ruth - those dogs should watch the news more often

Now to get some work done.

Thanks for starting us up, Cyndi! Your coffee sounds delish! It's supposed to be warm well into Wednesday here...hope it's the same for you.

me4life, I know all this must be overwhelming, but I'm really glad your DD has some good options with her aunt. Even though I'm sure it's not the way you wanted it to happen, congrats on becoming a grandmother.

Skinnybride, I'm glad you had fun with DH! As for having off-plan things in moderation--it's not a good idea to do unless you plan it and do Phase 1 after to get rid of the chance of cravings. If you find that it doesn't give you cravings and you just can't stick with the SBD plan, you might find that another plan (such as Weight Watchers, which allows you to eat most things as long as you eat them in moderation) would be better for you. SBD isn't meant for going regularly off plan without doing Phase 1 to detox the sugars out of your system. Going back and forth regularly between Phases 1 and 2 can be exhausting, not to mention frustrating. Think about it. And check with Chili's to make sure that their "wheat" buns are 100% whole wheat and that the first ingredient in them is whole wheat flour. The last couple times I checked with them, that wasn't the case. If they've changed that, I'd love to know!

Me:
Basic day--I'm going home after work and will go to the gym with DH when he gets home. That's a lot of fun, but I have to avoid what happened last week--I convinced DH to take a 15 min nap with me before the gym and, thinking he'd set the alarm clock, fell asleep, only to wake over an hour later. Oops! I had a meeting to go to, so had to skip the gym that night. Won't happen tonight!

Otherwise, it's a pretty normal evening. Dinner, some time together, taking out the trash and dishes, and off to bed. Tomorrow morning DH and I have to get up early to wrassle a urine sample from the dog. Let's hope it works!

good morning,

Cyndi - you are having a good beginning to the week, all that exercise sounds great.
Chelby - your weather sounds great. Have a good day with everyone gone. Sorry to hear that you MIL is having knee problems. She should have it xrayed to see what is causing the pain. I know quite a few that had surgery and are very happy with it.
Zeff - as always you are on top of things. Moving with two little ones is no fun.
Ruth - your retired so you can goof off all you want.
me4life - things will work out, just you wait and see.
Nataliesmom - congratulations on the 4lbs.
Pam - back on track with you.
Skinnybride - good start to the week with the scale loving you.
RdW - taxes, ugh.
Me - still feeling under the weather but I have to pull up my socks and do some baking. Hostessing a monthly weeking (not in my house) on Wed. and there will be about 25 people present. I have been sleeping so much that I can't believe it. Usually if I have a nap in the afternoon the night sleep is shot but lately have been doing both.
