Default 2nd Day on Phase 2

I was going to stay on Phase I for an extra week just because I was finding it pretty easy to do. In fact, I forgot when I started and might have stayed on it for a couple extra days, I'm not sure.

I lost 5 lbs. my first week of Phase I but then gained back about a pound on the 2nd week. I was a bit let down but I'm a patient "loser" and figured if I just stay on plan (and maybe have to continue counting calories, at least in my head), that I would succeed. And I was very happy with those 5 (or 4) lbs. lost in such a short time, especially since I don't have too much left to go.

On my first day of Phase 2 I allowed one whole grain product (Kashi Go Lean cereal) and one fruit (an apple). I expected to gain a bit again but I ended up losing and am back to 135! I feel great and with the new Phase 2 foods it really does ease up the necessity to have to find all Phase I allowable foods for each meal.

Today I used my whole grain allowance for a small whole wheat pita pizza (sf sauce, sliced portobello mushrooms, fresh garlic, lf mozzarella & some parmesan cheese) - yum! I'll probably have another apple for a snack.

The best thing is that I do not have any cravings. Just prior to starting SB I was losing my prior weight loss efforts because my cravings were so bad & I couldn't control them.

I know this is the way I should eat and I knew this for a long time (once I ate a semi-lc way via Carbohydrate Addict's Diet (CAD) in the past). I am searching the Internet for more sugar-free recipes and besides SB books or cookbooks you can search for general lc recipes and even dietetic.

I am lovin' SB and I feel it's just the right amount of structure I need but without being too rigid. That was the problem I had with other plans that I found success with but could not maintain on such as CAD and even Weight Watchers (I got burned out on journaling points all the time).

I'm so glad you're doing so well on SB. I really think it's the best plan and I find it to be one of the easiest too!
