I am starting Phase 1 tomorrow. I have read the book, done the shopping and have the exercise habits. I really need to dedicate myself to the eating plan.
I found that I am a sugarholic! I can't just stop with one serving. I binge horribly. I am then bloated and my skin feels dreadful. I did the Suzanne Sommers a few years ago and had great success. What made me decide to do the South Beach was that a young girl I was talking too at a store was starting and her doctor recommended it. I know the Doctor by reputation and trust her judgement. So here I go!
I hope there are some Phase 1 people out there ready to go. I am 5'2 and currently weigh 145lbs. My goal is 20lbs.
Britmum! I moved your post out of Usam's thread so that we make sure you are properly welcomed.
So glad you did all the things to set yourself up for success! I'm with you on the sugarholic thing. Stopping with one serving? What's that? Thankfully, SBD has done a lot for me in terms of helping me avoid cravings and stick to one serving. Hope it helps you too!
Welcome from another sugarholic. I binged on sweet (mostly candy) then salty (potato chips) and could go all day long doing this. SBD has definitely cut those binges and yet I can still have sweet things by using Splenda and other sweeteners that don't cause that binge mentality.
I've eaten lower carb before and I know this is the only way for me to control it. But I've strayed from lc because many of the eating plans were too restrictive. I can't believe I didn't give SBD a chance a long time ago!
Hi.
Another sugar binger here. I promise if you stick to the plan it will help your cravings and binges. I'm having a very tough time of it right now, because I slipped off plan. But it does work.
