Default Trader Joe's 90 sec Soup PH 2ish

Hi Everyone

I've finally gotten back on the wagon after a long hiatus.

I went to Trader Joe's today and they had these nifty little soup pouches that can be popped into the microwave and in 90 seconds the soup is done.

These work perfect for me since I'm constantly running around and I can fit it into my handbag.

I just tried the Spinach, Lentil and Garlic Soup. It was SUPER garlicky but that's a bonus for me. This was an entire meal for me. (Ok. that and a Diet Coke)

Stats:
320 Calories
13g Fat (7 saturated 0 Trans)
4g Dietary Fiber
38g Carbs

(Water, Yellow Lentils, Milk, Spinach, Potato, Onion, Garlic, Cream, Butter, Salt, Corn Flour, Black Pepper, Nutmeg) - I realize it has potato in it but I don't get cravings from these and its not "chunks" but more a thickening agent.

The milk is probably whole milk so it is high in fat plus it also has cream and butter which are high in saturated fat. The corn flour is also probably not good since we don't eat corn normally. So there is more than just the potatoes that are a problem.

Right on, Barb, just not Phase II.

Well that's part of the reason is said Phase IIish and I actually don't eat the "low fat" part of the diet. (And if I remember correctly I'm not the only one on this board that does that.)

I still think they are really good.

(And maybe I'm in a bad mood but I thought the initial reponse to this was rude.)

your response was rather rude as well. I think Barb was just being informative...not every post has to be all "WHOOHOO" and dancing carrots. While some of us may know that you're not following the low fat part of the plan, a LOT of people don't...including newcomers who could miss those 3 little letters and think that the soup is ok for Phase 2.

Misinformation is a big problem for people on this board, demonstrated just by the amount of threads on the front page asking the same questions over and over. Curbing misinformation and helping our fellow posters is our job.

Not rude at all - just factual. We answer lots of questions in here and Barb is one of the busiest and best informed Beachers on board.
