Default WOOT WOO! Lost 35lbs as of today!

Just got in from my weekly weigh in at Weight Watchers, I joined 3 weeks ago. With the weight I lost before joining WW and the weight I have lost since I have joined I have officially lost 10% of my body weight!

I have lost anywhere from 8lbs to 2lbs with an average of 5lbs a week for 7 consecutive weeks in a row.

I thought I wasn't going to lose any weight this week but I lost 2 lbs even though I messed up TWICE last week!

Man it felt so good to change the number on my ticker! LOL!

By my calculations and barring a plateau I should be in the 200's by the end of Feb! GOD I can't wait!

The only thing that has me a tiny bit worried it that I am losing an average of 5 pounds a week. I mean don't get me wrong I am THANKFUL for that but I am just a tiny bit worried I am losing too fast. I for sure don't wanna gain it back!

But I am following the new WW Momentum diet and I am eating all the points they are telling me to eat.

Should I be worrying about this or should I forget it!

I am so happy tonight I feel like going to a Chinese Buffet to celebrate! LOL! BUT of course I won't but I feel like it and one can dream can't they???

I REALLY feel like I am heading in the right direction this time!

Congratulations on your success! I would talk to your Weight Watchers facilitator about your concerns about losing too fast, but personally, I think you are probably fine. You are doing your body so much good by taking control. Hope to read about your future successes!

I did talk to my leader and she was talking about upping my points I can eat and no way am I doing that. I feel like I almost eat too much now trying to eat 42 points a day.

I asked her if her goal was for me to lose weight very, very slowly so that I would pay more weekly fees and she looked hurt! LOL! I had to tell her I was joking!

That's great! You're doing a fantastic job! I don't know if I'd worry about how quickly you're losing now. I lost the first 25 or so very quickly then the pace slowed up and it's still just steadily coming off, so just see how it goes over the next month. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations! I wouldn't worry about losing too fast right now. I lost an average 10 pounds a month for the first 4-5 months, then it went to five pounds, now I'm grateful for 3 a month. Just enjoy the losses right now. In a few weeks you'll be in the 200's!

I'm thrilled for you! I think your average of 5 pounds a week is very reasonable at this point. I started near your weight, (and I'm a woman) and I averaged between 4 & 5 pound a week for the first 3 months. The next 3 months I averaged 3-4 pounds a week, then 2-3 pounds a week...and now 1/2 to 1 pound a week... So far this month I've only lost 2 pounds, with only a couple small slippages since New Years. SOOOOOOOO...enjoy the ride!

Oh...and be careful with those mess ups. In my years of failed diets, it was those weeks I lost even though I had gone off plan that got me in the end. Oh, I still lost weight after a cheat this week, so I'll have one each week, then a couple a week, then more days than not...then skipping meetings because I knew I had gained...Oh the vicious cycle it became.

If you're doing it the right way, which it sounds like you are, don't worry about that! The more weight you carry the faster your body will shed it, once you dedicate yourself to losing weight. As you continue to lose weight & start to weigh in at lower & lower numbers, that number will drop. You will not continue to lose 5 pounds a week forever. When that happens, please don't get discouraged! It's so easy to when you're used to losing a certain amount in a certain time, but as long as you are losing, or at least maintaining your weight, be happy with what you see! You're doing an awesome job! 200's are right around the corner!

CONGRATS!!!!!

The heavier we are, the more we can expect to lose in the beginning. Staying within your points is creating a bigger calorie deficit then those who are a lesser weight. And you are a guy. You guys have the advantage over us women - in this situation. You're made of more muscle then us, so you burn up those calories quicker. Take those nice chunks when they come, cause chances are, they will slow down.

Like some others have said, I myself also lost fairly quickly, as I was very determined and was very strictly on plan. Though I lost it in a faster manner (sure didn't seem it at the time) I've been maintaining for over 18 months now. Hasn't come back on.

The only reason "they" say that you put the weight back on faster if you don't lose it slow enough, is because they're afraid you're going to revert back to your old ways. That you haven't learned the proper way of eating. But one can revert back to their old ways whether you lose it fast or slow. So the "trick" to keeping it off - permanently - , regardless of how speedy it came off, would be to keep to these good, new habits well after you've hit your goal.

Congratulations once again and make sure to keep up the good work.
