Ok, so hopefully I didn't tease any of you making you think I had a recipe!!! But, I am looking for one! I was thinking of taking some beans and using splenda, NSA ketchup, and maybe a dab of molasses.... but I haven't ever made baked beans before other than out of a can and for some reason when I was at the store today they looked really good to me- actually it was beanie weenies...LMAO... But I wanna make some beans and veggie weenies

Any help appreciated... Im off to research! BTW, I looked in both the side items threads and couldn't find any...

I made some last week but didn't post a recipe because I didn't measure. I think it was 2 c dried beans, 2 T extra hardy molasses (could have used less, maybe 1 T & 1 T agave), dried mustard, a can of adobe tomatoes (Muir Glen makes them), a little yeast, a little tamari, onions & garlic. I tossed some smart dogs on top for the last couple of hours. They were a big hit here.

I'm playing with some local New England varieties but a lot of recipes call for navy beans.
