Default Hey! Hey!

Hey everyone!! My name is Allison and I just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. I am 26 years old and I live in upstate NY. I've struggled with my weight and losing and gaining for as long as I can remember. I come from a big family so it's pretty much in my blood to be on the bigger side. Along with being over weight I am also very muscular (heavy) and in order to lose any weight at all it HAS to be a combination of eating healthy AND working out. The only problem with that is that its hard to work out when it's below zero outside and snowing everyday. I have a gym subscription but it seems that like me, the entire city has decided to sign up and renew their interest in the gym as well. It's PACKED!! Not a single treadmill or elliptical open until 8:30 or so at night. Soooo I guess my first question to all of you is do you have any ideas about working out in the winter? Any other things to do rather than go to the gym?

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. Happy New Year!

I work out in my house doing videos right now since there is sooo much snow outside. My son sometimes gets in the way and tries to beat up my legs because I ignore him while I am doing it...oh and he sits on my stomach while I do ANY floor excercises but so far its working! I usually do either Tae Bo advanced or 30 Day Shred

Those are great ideas! Do you feel like you get a "gym comparable" workout with the dvds? How long do they take to do? I have a Biggest Loser one... and I have the Wii fit that I've been doing every morning but I didn't think it was enough. Maybe I just think that because its too "fun" to fit into what my idea of what a workout should be.
