Default Gross (Bodily functions type) but I need to vent

Ok, so rewind to Thanksgiving weekend I went to my bf's house I got what felt like a sinus infection. I went to a clinic and they gave me meds, I get to walmart to fill my script and all of a sudden I get the worse case of diarrhea ever, went 2x in 30 minutes. I didn't know someone could excrete water (I am sure it wasn't pee) I got some Imodium and then I didn't have a movement for 4 days and it returned to "normal" when I did. Then about 2 days after cycle started all over again, I went to doctor and he diagnosed me with lingering effects of the stomach flu because I had that about 2-3 weeks prior to thanksgiving. However, the diarrhea didn't go away, went back to the doctor they took samples and of course it has cleared up right after I gave the samples. This past weekend it has returned.

When I ate whatever I wanted and didn't work out and treated my body like crap I never got sick, ever. Now that I am trying to be healthy and conscious of the things I am putting in my body I get sick and seems like constantly. WTF!!!!

Its looking like I am making another trip to the doctor. For the first time in my life I really don't want to because I technically don't have health insurance and I am pretty much unemployed so I have no good money flow coming in. I want to wait and see if I get this job I have been interviewing like crazy for because their benefits start pretty much immediately after hire. I only have 1 more interview to go before I know and that should be this week.
I want to know what's wrong with me though.

You want the BRAT diet for loose stools. Banana's, rice, apple sauce, toast. Sorry you are feeling crummy!

This is weird and possibly unrelated but every time I eat grapes I have stomach flu symptoms. Poop's, feeling like I'm going to puke, the whole shebang. It's awful!

Could it be something you are eating?

The thing is I have no other symptoms other than abdominal cramps, "noisy" bowels, and I fart (sooooo lady like) alot and I might have to call Hazmat for the disposal of the gas even my bf was grossed out, LOL. Then to top that all off my weight loss has pretty much stalled for about the last 8 weeks, I have been playing with the same 5 lbs for that long. ugh.

I have tried eating a lot of certain foods to see if that triggers it. It seems to have no rhyme or reason to it. Ugh, off to chugging some water and calling my sister to bring some bananas home.

Bee,

Are you by chance using much artificial sweetner? Your symptoms sound like my sisters--she is sensitive to all artificial sweetners. Just a thought.

Sorry you're feeling so crummy.

[On a side note, thanks for making me not feel so bad for posting a gas related thread! LOL]

I would say if the symptoms aren't HORRIBLE.... see if you can stick it out until the last interview. On the other hand... if they aren't improving, go to the doctor, you don't want to have to excuse yourself during an interview to go poop!

Really the only artifical sweetner I use is in diet coke. I do drink that frequently; I am trying to reduce that as well because it just isn't healthy for me and its staining the crap out of my teeth. (shallow i know) Splenda and I don't get along really well either, it gives me the farts like none other.

I live to serve, I am quite blunt and out there in real life why not on a forum where people probably will never meet me.

At this stage its definitely stickoutable at this stage, if it gets any worse though I probably will have to go and see a doctor.

As for the interview part I will just have to make sure and load up on some Imodium before I go, LOL.

Repopulate your colon! Get some acidophilus pills.

Yes I've heard good things about acidopholus. Sometimes we have people take it when their bowel regimens become irregular after surgery, or recieving antibiotics.

I've passed water before. It really sucks. I hadn't gone in over a week so I took some "gentle" laxatives. Gentle my ***! I was living in the bathroom for two days! I hope you figure out what's going on soon. And don't get dehydrated!!!

i would try the acidophilus. Also, sometimes i when i do a cleanse i get sick. my body is pushing out all the nasty toxins. itll make me sick for a few days, then ill be fine. if i go back to eating the way i was before the cleanse... which is usually bad, then i get an upset stomach... so its important to keep up the healthy eating.

sorry youre feeling awful. thats never fun

I can't commiserate with the diarrhea issue, but I know how you feel about the "treat my body like crap and feel better" thing. I get these abdominal pains that doctors have thought may be everything from an ulcer to gallbladder stones. They never diagnosed what it was, and I just kind of deal with it. Anyway, when I eat garbage I NEVER have it, but I've gotten it twice already since "restarting" on the first. It's the most frustrating thing.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon
