Default 2 babies 2 years 2 much weight 2 lose

Hi Everyone,

New here go figure hahha.... I've always been super athletic my whole life and never paid attention to food dieting exercise etc but I've had 2 babies 13 months apart, Im a full time professional that sits at a desk all day, after a 1.5 commute each way and a single parent of the 2 little bambino's (now 5 months and 18 months)
I love to work out but I cannot seem to find time ... I'm super involved with my kids the little time I have to spend with them and I don't want to take away any of that time. and once they crash I clean and crash myself.
So I guess my goal here is to find the extra little help and shove I need to find the time, eat right (since Im always moving thats a little difficult) without spending money on a plan etc as I dont have any being that single parent and all
Boy as I type this I realize I sound pretty needy and full of excuses.... haha well here's to the next new chapter of my life. I warmly welcome any tips, ideas, or even hellos

Hi there Daizy

You already love to work out. So instead of finding time... make time.

You don't have to take time away from being with your kids. Make them a part of the fun as much as possible. Even going on walks with them is spending time with them as well as moving.

You may have to 'force' yourself to do some sort of exercise video once they get to sleep. Or you may have to get up earlier in the morning (I know, it doesn't sound fun, but if you want to exercise, then you must do it when you can).

If you want a cheap & easy way to track your food intake, I suggest Calorie Counting. (Go to the Calorie Counter's section under Diet Central for more information.)

Make your health a priority. Not just for you, but for your kids! They'll appreciate in so many ways having a Mommy who can keep up with them and who takes care of herself

Best of success!

Daizy,

Like you, I also had two babies in two years. I started my new life in late May/June. I know, there is lots to do with the two kiddos around. You do not have TOO much weight to lose. You can do it. I lost 20 pounds over the summer simply changing diet alone. You can do this. You will be able to give even more to your kids when you strike the delicate balance of truly putting yourself first. You have to find what works for you. It is very worth it.

ETA: I don't do a plan either. I buy the produce that is on sale and have a good pair of tennis shoes. I keep a food journal in a spiral notebook. The beautiful thing about weight loss is that it doesn't have to cost money.

Default Hi there!

I too have had 2 kids in 2 years. (8 month old and 31 month) I have always been a big girl to begin with and when i got pregnant with my second I vowed that as soon as my daughter was born that I done with having kids and focusing on me.

Since her birth I've lost 55 lbs in 6-7 months. Just through calorie counting and exercise 4-5 times a week.
I still have another 40lbs to go, but I am on the same track as you.
However all that being said I am not a single mother but a lot of times feel like it (lol).

Kudos for doing what you do and let me know if you need a buddy!!
