Talking Hi from a not so new newbie :)

Hi all my name is Brook. I have been here many times before and givin up, but once again I am starting over and trying again. I am married and a mother of two boys from michigan. I am 25 and 195 lbs. I have decided to start on this diet/lifestyle change because I am really sick of being fat and unhealthy. My mom just recently lost 60lbs, and I know if she can do it at 45 then I can too! My hubby and I were ttc for about 2 years now and we have went threw three miscarriages the latest one this past dec. So now I have decided that I am going to stop ttc and just be thankful that God gave me the two beautiful sons that I have. That also means its time for me to focus on me for a while too! I would love it if someone would like to budy up with me it will be nice to not going threw this alone! I have about 80 lbs to lose my goal is between 120 and 130 just depending on what I feel looks the best for me. If I still feel like I could lose a few more lbs once I get to 130 then I will worry about that then but for now I just want to get started. I started yesterday with a fast for three days that just consists of LOTs of water and vitamins! Then on to the healthy eating. I am also doing lots of exersize. Its nice to meet you all and hope to get to know all of you!

Default Hi there

I'm also in Michigan, and I'm at about the same weight right now. My goals are a bit more modest at the moment. I'm about 15 pounds from my initial goal of losing 100 pounds, and I'm finding it very difficult to get back "on the wagon" from the holidays.

Good Luck with your progress!

Brook, welcome back, and good luck with your goals! If you can fast for 3 days, I'm pretty sure you can do anything. I'd never make it, myself, short of being locked up where I couldn't get to any food, lol. Sorry to hear about your struggles with ttc. Sounds like you know your way around the boards...hope to see you around!

Juliet, many of us are coming down off the holiday sugarfest, so you're not alone. A few days of eating right and the cravings go away. The good thing about the "wagon" is, it's your wagon, so it stops and waits for you to climb back on.
