Default intro

I am currently a 37 year old, mom of two. The year I turned 30 I got myself in shape, took off all the weight I gained with having babies, excersised daily using everything from running and rollerblading to yoga, ate a vegetarian diet, etc. All the right things. Then came the changes for our family. I had to start working full time (previously was stay at home mom), husband went back to college full time as opposed to working. Needless to say all that time that I had for me was gone in an instant. Weight went on fast and steady and I am currently as heavy as my heaviest pregnancy weight. Uhg. On the bright side my husband has finished college about a year and a half ago, has gotten a great job and the stress of everyday life is back to a normal level. I think now is the time to attack my weight issues. I am looking for support and encouragement not necessarily a "diet". It would be nice to meet other women my age in this forum who are looking at similar goals.

Default diet and excersise plan

I am not going to do any name brand diet. I intend to limit sugar to natural sources, cut out white foods, etc. Previously when I lost weight I stuck to a very strict vegetarian diet and NO sugar except fruits-daily or honey-occasionally. It worked great. I think that I will continue to allow meat and dairy but just cut back on amounts and see how that is working after two months. As far as excersise, I am not going to be jogging down the street anytime soon but will start some sort of in home program (ie dvd) for beginners and work up as time goes on.

The most important thing is to have a plan that you can stick to. You can always change to something else if it is not right. The important thing is to start.
