Smile New & looking for friends on this journey

Hi. Just signed up and am looking forward to meeting many of you. Looked at a few different sights before deciding on 3FC. This one looks to have many members who are involved and exchanging comments and ideas, which is what I am hoping will help as this journey goes towards completion. I started on Nov. 11th to lose about 60 pounds. Weighed myself the first day, but haven't since as stepping on my scale is usually self sabotage. Clothes are getting loose though and I am feeling pretty good about it all. Now I just need to get the exercise thing going. Christmas has been a little bit of a challenge, but not as bad as in the past. Any suggestions for a certain forum that would be good to join? I am 50 and as mentioned looking to lose about 60 lbs. Any help would be more than welcome. Thanks.

Welcome to 3FC!! I hope we can be a great support system for you. What plan are you following? We have a lot of diet focused groups, plus age groups. The 50+ group might be a good place to start. If you aren't on any specific diet, we have a lot of groups in the Support Forum that would love to have you join in.

I hope 2009 is a great year for you and that you meet all of your goals. Please let us know if we can help you!

Which forum to join? Well....let's see...there's the 50+ forum, and forums for the eating plans....feel free to jump in anywhere!

What plan have you been using so far? It sounds like it's working for you.

There's also a Fitness section - lots of ideas for moving here.

Thanks for the welcome! I started the Think and Lose program in November and I am feeling very good about it. My life before was centered around food and what to eat next, now I find myself eating healthier and not binging on junk food, which is totally amazing in itself. I think I will definitely check out the 50+ forum and probably the one to get moving. I posted a note in "other diets" to see in anyone else is using Think and Lose. Thanks for the suggestions.
